"We had a wonderful time at the Bass Lake cottage, and Jackie was an absolute pleasure to work with. My wife and I met our daughter and her husband for a too-rare family vacation, and the cottage proved the perfect setting. The cottage was cozy, providing plenty of togetherness and plenty of privacy. Everything was in good order and the lake setting was splendid. One felt far removed from busy Traverse City -- until one wanted to be there and it was just minutes away. The rowboat, the paddleboat, the dock -- everything was in great shape, just begging to be enjoyed. If there's a single feature that sets the place apart, it's the screen-in porch, where we seemed to spend much of our time, enjoying each other's company and the beautiful lake setting. Just writing this makes me want to go back!"

"I lived in NYC for decades and my French husband has traveled the world...so... for better or for worse, we are two pretty picky people when it comes to traveling. After staying here four nights, I can safely say, the Carriage House at White Fence gets two big thumbs up from both of us. The view of Traverse Bay out the living room window is nothing short of spectacular. Oh, the pink dawns...no two the same...the changing light and colors are such good medicine for the soul. My husband is a swimmer and he loved taking a dip out front of the house in the crystal clear water. I read novels under the glorious shade trees---there are a few outdoor seating areas here to choose from. Inside the carriage house is a beautifully designed home. The owner is an architect---and obviously a good one. An abundance of light, views galore from the kitchen bar area, and the high bedroom ceiling is composed of stunning open beams. The chic decor is a mix of chocolate browns, white trim and lively splashes of red. There are also gallery quality framed photographs on the walls, taken by the owner. Wine, cheese, salad and other goodies were left for us as a surprise welcome and Kathy, the owner, went out of her way to provide detailed information on local restaurants and activities. She's a jewel and ditto for White Fence---a true gem. We'll be back and thanks!"

"We enjoyed our week in Suttons Bay for our 9 people of 3 generations! The house is nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. The downstairs bedrooms great for parents and their kids. Pleasant sitting areas and nice kitchen and dining. We enjoyed grilling out several nights and had a great campfire. So fun to have kayaks available and water close by. Loved the town of Suttons Bay, their parks great for our kids and fun eateries. All surrounding area is lovely. The owners are very attentive. A wonderful time had by all!!"

"We recently stayed at this home with our extended family. The water level was higher than usual, so the beach was diminished, but our children really enjoyed playing in the water. Because of the high water level, there were hundreds of feet of shallow water for the children to play in. The water here is clear and absolutely beautiful. The home has gorgeous flower gardens, beautiful access to the water, plenty of outdoor and indoor toys and games for children of all ages to enjoy, and many extras. The home is generously appointed and is uniquely designed for the family to enjoy meals together, watch sunsets out the windows, or cozy up in the front study with movies. Our two year old daughter loved the teddy bear and toy nook and we all felt comfortable in the many bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was well stocked with plenty of paper products, laundry necessities, and other items. The house is located near many sites such as the sleeping bear dunes, Traverse City and other scenic spots. Our family really enjoyed our time at this house. We will cherish our memories of this vacation for years to come. We would highly recommend this home."
