"We had a very relaxing and refreshing stay! The Northport Cabin is secluded and comfortable, with restaurants, hiking trails, and a bowling ally just minutes away. Tom was very easy to work with, helpful, and accommodating. It was very clean and cozy. I would only comment that there is no dining table - only 4 barstools, and sadly the hot tub was not working the first two days of our visit. This was very disappointing to us, since that was one of the reasons we chose this particular cabin. I know sometimes maintenance/repair times are unavoidable. Also, the stairs to the loft are incredibly steep, so don't plan on any children sleeping upstairs. Other than that, it was excellent."

"Four generations of ladies came for a week's vacation. Grandma, Mom, two sisters and a granddaughter. This house is amazing! Everything we could have asked for and so much more. My grandmother and mother both appreciated the ground floor bedrooms while my sister and I, along with my 8 year old daughter, slept like rocks in the beds upstairs. You can hear the waves crashing on the shore from the upper loft and each bed had it's own pillow pet and matching duvet and quilt. My daughter was in heaven after discovering the kids cupboard and the Wii. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked including sharp chefs knives (a rarity in the rental world!), a Keurig coffee maker and well maintained appliances. My sister and I used the outdoor shower every day rather than showering inside. The town is a quick jaunt down the road and if you want great baked goods, Barb's Bakery should not be missed. Tom's Market is well stocked and local wine is cheaper there than any place else we found. This house was a dream come true. We relaxed, laughed and just enjoyed spending time together. We can not recommend it enough."

"We returned to Cedar Cove after 17 years with family from Northern California. This time everyone of the kids are in their 20's! Friends of our children and a few parents also came from Mexico City and the Dominican Republic.
It was a fabulous family/friend summer reunion!! This time our dog joined us. She loved swimming and jumping off the dock for her ball. She never stopped. The dock is also excellent for mooring boats and nicely protected! We made some amazing meals, had great beach camp fires and laughed a lot!
Thank you for helping us create memories we will keep with us forever . . Cedar Cove hope to see you again soon!"

"My husband and I just returned home from our vacation today, and we very much enjoyed this house. I am very fussy when it comes to walking into a clean house and this house was just that. You could smell the cleanliness. They even added a vase of freshly picked flowers to welcome us. The natural light from all the windows was fabulous, and we even watched a raccoon enjoying the sweet cherries on several different occasions from the living room. The living room also had very comfortable furniture, which was a big bonus. We were sad to leave the area, where this house was in a nice location to travel to Sutton's Bay to enjoy the small shops, Traverse City to shop and enjoy Tandem Ciders, and Cedar to eat at the Sol Taco Stand. The owners were readily available when we noticed that cable cords were missing from the DVD player and brought us a set almost immediately. They were VERY easy to work with and that is also a great bonus.
The only reason we didn't give this an excellent review, wished there was a VERY GOOD button, was because the house was on the corner of M22 and another pretty well traveled road. The traffic was almost a constant. When the traffic wasn't there, the birds were chirping and it was a total relaxation moment.
We would not hesitate to come back, even knowing the noise of the cars. The house had lots of character and it was neat to hear that the owner grew up in the house."
