  • Very Relaxing

"We had a very relaxing and refreshing stay! The Northport Cabin is secluded and comfortable, with restaurants, hiking trails, and a bowling ally just minutes away. Tom was very easy to work with, helpful, and accommodating. It was very clean and cozy. I would only comment that there is no dining table - only 4 barstools, and sadly the hot tub was not working the first two days of our visit. This was very disappointing to us, since that was one of the reasons we chose this particular cabin. I know sometimes maintenance/repair times are unavoidable. Also, the stairs to the loft are incredibly steep, so don't plan on any children sleeping upstairs. Other than that, it was excellent."

  • Perfect

"We stayed in early May, and it was perfect. The weather, too! The setting, the house, area -- everything was perfect. The cabin has everything you need and is very clean. We only used the outdoor shower, which was wonderful. We also loved the hot tub, with the smell of wood-burning fire, not chemicals. The kids had fun figuring out how to use it--not hard. We climbed the dunes down the road every night at sunset. Great exercise and beautiful view. We also enjoyed kayaking here. The cabin would be cozy for eight, but if it rains, the huge barn is set up for ping-pong, with plenty of room, and there is also a cute bunkhouse. The owner made great use of the space, from the pot lid holders built into the cabinets to the hooks everywhere. There are also many thoughtful touches, such as the reading lamps for each bunk bed, even in the bunkhouse. The location is remote, but I loved that. Northport isn't too far away."

  • Family vacation

"Very nice place to stay :) we had our 12 year old and 9 year old with us. They loved having the loft to escape to. It was a nice " home base" for our travels. We went to sleeping bear, Fishtown, Sutton Bay, Traverse city, Mission Point and grand traverse light houses and of course the cute town of Northport. The cabin was comfortable with a pretty yard. We will most likely visit again."

  • Our third year at this wonderful home.

"One of the highlights of our summer is visiting Northport and staying at this beautiful house. The owners are fantastic and are always available to answer questions. The home is clean, has every convenience, and is located right on the bay with breathtaking views. The layout of the house allows our extended family to have privacy all week. The water is shallow enough for smaller children and the beach was perfect this year. Northport and nearby Suttons Bay have some wonderful restaurants to enjoy. All of us look forward to our visit next year. If you book this home, you will want to return too."
