  • Lovely Cottage!

"What a wonderful stay on the water! We have been coming to the Traverse City area with our family of 8 for four years now and thoroughly enjoyed this property. Despite the cool weather, our kids (ages 2-10) enjoyed combing the beach for petoskey stones, shells, frogs and other little critters. Don't forget the water shoes. They are a must with the zebra mussel shells lining the shore. We came prepared though per the recommendations. The cottage was clean and well-stocked with everything that we needed. Even though the shore was rocky and not the best swimming area (we knew this), on the warmer days we visited the association beach which was just a short bike ride away. It was pristine and had plenty of sandy frontage. Empire Beach, Good Harbor Beach and Peterson Park (the place for sunsets!) were a short drive and a must to visit. We also couldn't do without heading into Northport for a cinnamon twist from Barb's Bakery. Delicious! If you are looking for a place for the kids to go during crummy weather and they are tired of the numerous board games available, Tucker's in town has an arcade and bowling as well as great food options. The neighbors were very friendly and a joy to talk with. The owner was just a phone call away even though we didn't need to contact her. Overall, fantastic cottage if you have small children and want to be on the water but not too far from others. Thank you so much for making our stay unforgettable!"

  • Wonderful week in Northport

"We are so sad to leave Northport after having a wonderful week here. Jim is a childhood friend of my husbands and now a good friend to us all. The cottage was very clean on arrival and there was a great new mattress in the master bedroom. We are sad to leave. Thank you Jim and Chris. We now have many more great memories of your delightful paradise. We hope to see you next year!"

  • Family get-away

"Our large family of 13 spent a fabulous week in this charming home. The combination of rustic wooden beams, wood and stone added to the character and beauty of this home. There was plenty of space for all of us to relax, spread out and enjoy ourselves. The beach was by far our favorite place! We spent hours enjoying the lake, digging in the sand, flying kites and relaxing. When we weren't at the lake we spent time sightseeing and traveling to the lighthouse, farmers markets, and sand dunes. Great vacation spot!"

  • Our 6th visit to the Bayshore Beach House!

"The Bayshore Beach House has been our family's vacation destination for the last six years and we cannot imagine staying anywhere else! The house is beautifully decorated and filled with everything you need for a wonderful, relaxing week. There is so much to do and enjoy on the property that you almost need to force yourself to leave to explore the cute nearby towns of Northport, Suttons Bay, and Omena - although the promise of a doughnut at Barb's Bakery seemed to do the trick on more than a few mornings! Andy and Holly are such gracious hosts and we cannot thank them enough for allowing us to make their home one of our family traditions."
