"Such a cozy and immaculate cottage. Well supplied with bath towels and kitchen items. Location was amazing, quiet and close to everything. Communication was quick and easy. Have already recommended to friends and hope to return next summer."

  • week away in August

"My husband and I came here for a getaway in August. We love the Leelanau area and like to come up and travel around the entire area. The lovely cottage is not too far off the beaten path and it is very well taken care of on the inside. And the country roads are so fun to drive around on you get used to it quickly. My husband loves to fish and had great luck the few times he went out using the row boat available at the cottage - perch, bass and blue gill. It is my fault for not inquiring but the steep hike down to the lake (although even steeper returning - lol!) caught be my surprise. We had brought our kayaks but one of them weighs over 70 lbs and we did not think it would be wise to attempt carrying it down the steep hike or back up. Perhaps if you have a 4x4 truck it would be doable? The home is stocked with everything you could need - fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, satellite TV, lots of games and books to peruse. The owners did a fantastic job making it a warm and inviting home. We hated to leave. Leelanau County is truly a gem. Not to be missed: swimming at Christmas Cove in Northport, breakfast at Martha's (Suttons Bay) and dinner at 9 Bean Rows (also Suttons Bay) and always, Fishtown!"

  • Great Time, Great Location!

"Our family enjoyed an amazing time at your condo. It was clean, the owners were AMAZINGLY helpful when we had a bit of an emergency. Also their local support staff was outstanding and the place was perfect for our family. The listing and pictures presented are accurate. We kyaked on the crystal river, we took the hike you suggested, spent A LOT of time at the beach, enjoyed the bonfire pit, and even did some night fishing on the beach - yes the fish were jumping! I would recommend this place!"

  • Relaxing Family Vacation!

"We had a wonderful time staying in this chalet for vacation. The house had all the amenities we needed. We really enjoyed the rowboat and canoe for use at any time - we used them almost every day. The owners took us out on their pontoon boat for a tour around the lake -what a treat! The area was very quiet, not too many rentals, so there wasn't much activity during the day. You practically had the lake to yourself! While there are not a ton of activities in the immediate vicinity, it is not very far from places like Traverse City, which made for a nice excursion. We also went to the local dairy farm (as recommended by the chalet owners), where all the milking is done by robots! Pretty neat, and the farm owner was very nice and knowledgeable. We would definitely consider it for a return trip!"
