"My wife and I took our 2 year old son, along with her parents, to this property and we couldn't have been happier.
The condo was clean and well managed. The location was within walking distance of a small downtown area and a short drive to Boyne or many area golf courses. Our two year old loved the park and play structure was within walking distance, as well as, the heated pool on the condo grounds.
Also, dealing with the owners was incredibly easy. There was excellent communication before and after....couldn't have been happier.
All in all a great Memorial Day weekend and we look forward to coming back."

"We just spent a week at this amazing house on Clam Lake. We had 3 different families and the house accommodated us all perfectly. The yard is HUGE.. and we played many outside games including family kick ball in the side yard! We were able to easily park two boats on the dock. The water was good to play in once you got past shore as there are a few zebra muscles. Sunsets were priceless sitting around the campfire. Thank you so much for the lovely accommodations.. We had a blast!"

"I have been to Maple Woods Cottage almost every year within the last 8 years! The house is charming and picturesque, and sits right on the lake! The inside of the cabin is decorated with charm! From the living room, you have a view of the lake that is better than any painting from the art museums. The first floor has an open layout. You can be in the kitchen cooking and still socialize with people in the living room. In winters, its perfect to cozy up next to the fireplace. In summer, its a wonderful place to fish, swim, and just have fun! Their is a spacious master bedroom on the first floor, with its own private bath. Upstairs there are 2 large bedrooms as well. Both rooms sleep about 4-5 people comfortably! The loft upstairs has a nice sitting area and tv (perfect for kids!!) The backyard of the cottage is truly heaven. There is a beautiful deck that is perfect for sitting and relaxing. Out in the backyard there is a swing set that kids will love, and a nice fire-pit which is perfect for late night smores! This all leads up to the gorgeous lake! In the summer, the lake is great for swimming and fishing! The winter also provides a lovely and peaceful view!
Maple Woods Cottage is a great place for adults and children! For adults, it's a place to gather with friends/family and just enjoy getting away from the real world. For children, it's a fun retreat where they can connect themselves with nature (something that is rare in today's lifestyle!).
I have loved both summers and winters at Maple woods Cottage! It's a stay I look forward to every year! A secret that I am sharing with anyone who is willing to get away!"

"If you've never been to Empire, you are missing out on a world of fun and relaxation! Whether you are hiking, biking, boating or driving, gorgeous views are always just around the corner. The glory of nature is bountiful here and words cannot do it justice. From our first evening of wading and kayaking in crystal clear South Bar Lake, just steps from the back door of the condo, to swimming across calm North Bar Lake to the waves of Lake Michigan to riding a Seadoo in Glen Lake just 10 minutes away, our water sport to-do list was completely checked off. The paved trails for walking, biking, skateboarding, or rollerskating are endless. It's an easy ride to North Bar Lake.
The condo itself felt like home away from home, not at all pretentious. The owner could not have been nicer. The lower level itself was worth the stay. We all stayed up late playing cards, watching movies on the huge television, and playing ping pong and pool, not to mention the hours our granddaughter spent playing with the blocks and wooden train set.
The next time we plan a trip to the Sleeping Bear area, I won't think twice about staying at Drift Away."
