  • Absolutely Perfect Cottage and Location on a Beautiful Lake!

"We just returned from a weeks stay at Walloon Lake with our 10, 8 and 6 year old and could not have been more pleased with the cottage and location. The cottage is located on the perfect spot on the lake to enjoy gorgeous sunsets from the well positioned decks, back porch or the dock while dangling your feet in the clear water. The cottage is very comfortable, clean, updated and well thought out for vacationers to enjoy. The owner was very attentive to ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy the week. Walloon Lake is a beautiful lake with a great vibe - friendly people, great area with a bakery, local shops and a restaurant to boat to which we did many times. The location is also a short drive to downtown Petoskey, Bay Harbor, Charlevoix and Harbor Springs to enjoy boutique shopping and great restaurants. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to a return visit!"

  • GREAT VACATION IN NORTHPORT !!!

"We just got home from a wonderful time in Northport and the surrounding area.... What a GREAT time we had....This property is in the PERFECT location, we walked to dinner, breakfast, the beach, shops and so much more. You are also only a short drive to many other communities. The house is roomy with plenty of space for us and it is on a beautiful corner lot with a ton of yard space to hang out in. The house has everything you will need. When you get to Northport you must check out Barb's Bakery and North End Eatery, we were at both more than once !! Looking forward to our return to being "up north " ."

  • Cottage is a gem

"The “cottage” is a gem in the North. It has everything you need – turn the key and you can stay for a week or a month – everything is there and it is all first class- but very affordable for the area. My wife and I arrived on September 27th and stayed a week just after the end of the “summer season” in Harbor Springs, less the crowds, great fall color and a few days still in the 70’s made for a fantastic relaxing vacation. The cottage overlooks Lake Michigan and is right on the beach. Five stone steps down to a great deck and then another 4 steps down to the beach – fantastic views and sunsets. The beautiful stone fireplace was put to use a couple times and it really gives the cottage a warm comfy feeling. It is less than 10 minutes to the center of Harbor Springs and a lot of great restaurants such as the “The Fish” out on State road. We are recommending “The Cottage” to friends and making plans to come back next season."

  • Roembke Family Vacation

"My family of 8 with 6 adult children stayed in this cute, cozy cottage for a week. All the essentials were included except towels and a washer/dryer but who wants to do laundry while on vacation. Beds and bedding were all comfortable. Stocked with games, videos, and fans. I can see why the lake was called Manistee. The area was quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed beautiful fireworks on the lake. Took the rowboat out. Enjoyed eating outside, using the gas grill, and coffee in the morning on the porch. Only about an hour drive to Traverse City and to some wine tasting venues on the peninsula and experienced the National Cherry Festival. Traveled to Sandy Bear Dunes for a great outdoor venture with the family. I highly recommend the cottage. Great place to make good memories. The living room and kitchen is a little cozy for 8 adults. ."
