  • Perfect location!

"Our 3 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and a significant other joined us for my niece's wedding at Castle Farms. One daughter flew in from Portland, Oregon to Traverse City and this location made it so convient to pick her and her husband up at the airport. We loved your open kitchen and enjoyed several meals in it. Well designed and very well stocked with the necessary items to do meals. We loved the spectacular view and wished we had more time to enjoy it all. We had phenomenal weather which just added to the experience! My daughter and son-in-laws from downstate brought their bikes along and loved the access to the wonderful bike path. We found Kristina, the homeowner to be very accommodating and so pleasant to work with. The only suggestion I would make would be to have towel bars available in the master suite. We will definitely keep this home in mind for any future family gatherings on the west side of the state! Thank you for making our first vacation home rental so memorable!"

  • Great retreat

"This charming home set in the woods is a great place to relax and take in all the Boyne/Charlevoix area has to offer, which is plentiful. Bob and Mary are very welcoming hosts and always able to answer questions and provide suggestions as to area dining or activities. They have renovated this home and the décor is updated and like a B and B. We liked the open concept for the living/dining, and kitchen area. The big deck is great as well. It backs to a golf course so it's great for those that want to be close to a course. Early morning does bring the golf course lawnmowers near the back of the home but they aren't there for long. We have stayed here three times and enjoyed all our stays."

  • Lovely Experience

"Absolutely wonderful stay. We drank coffee (and mimosas!) on the deck looking out over Lake Michigan in the morning, canoed in the afternoon, built a campfire and cooked dinner near the beach in the evening. So much peace to be had here. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the gorgeous property, or our host, Jerry (Cathy was away when we visited, but she was very prompt with replies and, warm and friendly when conversing with me through e-mail). Jerry even let us use their house phone to make dinner reservations when we couldn't get cellular service. There are neighbors, but also a lot of privacy thanks to the trees and layout of the land, location of the deck and of the cottage. Plenty of nearby hiking, and if you need a store or restaurant, the hub of the island is about a 20 minute drive. The cottage is very cozy; if you are not coming alone, I would make sure you really like the person you are coming with! Fortunately I visited with my husband so it worked out ;) We both very highly recommend staying here, and will almost certainly be back. Hopefully sooner than later!"

  • Perfect for our trip - I would recommend for both summer or ski vacations.

"This spacious condo was perfect for our trip. The location is convenient for walking to restaurants/shopping. There is a very popular eatery right next door and popular for good reason--it was excellent. The master bedroom is quiet and comfortable. We appreciated having a full kitchen, nice appliances, and plenty of seating in the breakfast bar and at the dining table as we had family staying in town too--and gathered at the condo to make breakfast/etc. Although I prefer having some outdoor seating/patio, this wasn't a problem due to it being so close to everything. The beach is just down the street--very short walk. This place worked out well for this trip--I would rent it again or one of the owner's other properties."
