  • Definitely Retreat-worthy!

"This was the first time our group of 15 women have rented a whole house vs. condo units for our annual Girls-Getaway. We have all given this a unanimous thumbs-up after spending a wonderful 4 days here. The bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, deck and entertaining areas were spacious and comfortable. We went out for dinner one night, but otherwise did all of our cooking in the house. There are 2 refrigerators (1 also in the garage) and the kitchen was well-stocked with supplies; we also found many spices and some baking supplies available. There are 6 lawn chairs at the fire pit, so you may want to bring extras; deck seating space was adequate for all of us. The combination of woods and golf course was beautiful and a nice place to go for a walk. Plenty of activities in the area, but we enjoyed just spending time together in a peaceful setting. We felt we could have had a few more washcloths, dishtowels and toilet paper, but I still gave this a 5-star rating. There is a washing machine and dryer available though for keeping up on laundry needs. The caretaker, Jim, was very responsive to our questions and requests. A memorable time was had by all!"

  • multi-family ski getaway

"The unit was clean and nicely set up with two bedrooms on each side of the main living area, which also included a foldaway Murphy bed. The contact person was just a phone call away and came immediately when we discovered the hot water was not turned on in the kitchen and front bathroom. She was super nice and very accommodating. We had mostly everything we needed as far as bed linens and kitchen utensils. The only item we wished we'd had was a 9x13 baking pan for our breakfast casserole. It worked out, though. We found two smaller pans! :) Thanks for allowing us use of your place. It made for many great memories with our children and friends."

  • The cottage on the beach

"This property had a spectacular view as well as many amenities. We made use of the kayaks they had and they supplied all linens as well as beach towels. The add said it had stairs and it did. It became a little difficult for my husband after a few days, but we were warned. The add well represented the property. The owner as well as the people taking care of his property were very helpful and courteous. There are lots of things to do in the area, but if the weather is good you may have a hard time leaving it. The home has a lovely deck that you can eat at and enjoy the view. I had forgotten about all the rocks north of town, so not good swimming. I would definitely recommend it to a friend with a little older children."

  • Great house, great location, great time

"Had a great time at this house over Labor Day weekend. The house was very accommodating and across the street from the picturesque Boyne River. With downtown Boyne City a two minute walk away, this was an ideal place to spend a weekend in northern Michigan. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to spend some time Up North!"
