"The house was very spacious and had plenty of room for a group of 7 couples to get together and have a good time. The patio was great with 3 tables with chairs. The house was located in a central location where we had plenty of activities to keep us busy. The house is set in a wooded area and houses were not close together. I spoke with and e-mailed with the owner several times and felt like I had known her for a long time. Very friendly and easy to work with."

"Wow Mark, what a spectacular home you have!! It is so beautiful, warm and homey. We had four families with LOT'S of kid's and this was a perfect space
for all of us. You can tell that their was a lot of love put into this lodge !! I didn't
feel like I was renting but rather staying at a good friends bonus home :-)
I was so impressed that the house was stocked with EVERYTHING !!! We had
forgotten to bring sugar for our coffee in the morning but there it was in the pantry !! You even had supplies for contacts if someone had forgotten their's ! I have been one of those people who has forgotten their cleaner, solution and storage for my contact's before. I really appreciate all the little thoughtful details you provided for me as well as for your other guest. I just can't say enough I guess :-)
Thank you for being so personable and down to earth Mark. You have by far the best communication and bedside manner of anyone I have ever rented from. Thanks for calling and checking up on us during our stay. The skiing was a blast and EVERYONE is talking about our next winter ski trip at Edgett's Lodge !!!!"

"The cabin was clean, charming and nicely decorated. It was the perfect size for 4 of us, but definitely would accomodate 6. It's a quick walk to the beach. I didn't count steps, but seeing other properties with the endless staircases made me appreciate our easy walk to the beach. The beach is a combination of sand and rocks, but there is plenty of sandy beach on the stretch. My kids (11& 14) chose to make a game of standing on the giant rocks and jumping off. This was our first time in northern Michigan. The view and water were breathtaking. We spotted an eagle every evening around 5pm looking for his evening meal. The house is located close to the Good Hart General Store, which is perfect for simple items. The draw for the store is that it's the only place for miles around for food. It's on M119 (tunnel of trees), which makes it a perfect stop for those doing the scenic tour up Lake Michigan. A few adorable shops and a delicious Crepes stand make it the perfect place to get a snack or even an "on the go" meal. Oh, and the pies at Good Hart…both sweet and savory. Worth it. It was close enough to do a day trip to Harbor Springs or Mackinaw.
Back to the house: The owners were very helpful in answering my questions and letting us know what to expect and what we might need to bring. They really had everything there that we needed to enjoy our stay. The dishwasher was a nice bonus as well. :-)
We were able to get cell phone reception, but it truly was about "checking out" for awhile. No wifi or television. The kids brought DVD's to watch when they needed some down time or the weather was bad.
We had a great time."

"Our family of 6 kids and 5 adults had a wonderful time in this cottage in June, 2014. The kids loved the water and the water toys (and the grawdads). We enjoyed hours around the fire and searching for fireflies at night. Bellaire and Central Lake had many interesting places to visit. The kids loved Bachmans in Central Lake and the Bellaire Dairy Twist. The cottage was lovely and well-equipped."
