"This is a great rental property! There is a master bedroom on the main floor with master bath, family room, dinning room table and a full kicthen with anything you need for cooking or bbqing. There is a television, which we were not sure about until arrival. We do not go on vacation to watch tv, but it is nice to have on rainy days if you have children. Upstairs, there are 2 more bedrooms, 1 has a queen bed and the other has 2 twins. There is another full bathroom up there as well. There is also a half bath on the main floor and basement with washer and dryer. Bath towels and bed linens are provided, which I love because that means I don't have to pack all that bulky stuff along with everything else in my car. You will need to bring beach towels...which is to be expected. We stayed here with another family and there was plenty of room.
The house is VERY clean and well cared for and is in a great location. It is just down the street from Empire Beach and the Empire Bluff Trail. 10 minutes (or less) from Sleeping Bear Dunes, 10 minutes to Glen Arbor and 10-15 minutes to Platte River. About 40 minutes to Leland and 30 minutes to Traverse City...very central to all of those things.
Dealing with the owner was pleasant and easy. I would stay here again! Loved it here!

Most immaculate property we have ever rented! Honestly advertised. This is a wonderful home!
"Our family has rented many vacation properties, some came as advertised, others were rather unpleasant surprises. Uncle Warren's is by far the cleanest, most guest friendly home we have ever rented. The owners have thought of everything from the wall mounted blow dryer in the bathroom to the carefully labeled drawers and light switches, they have bent over backwards to make sure that each guest feels completely at home and doesn't waste precious vacation time looking for things. They also have an endless water heater so you won't run out of water no matter how many showers and Jacuzzi's the family takes. We have stayed here twice, the first time was great, but this time we could tell that improvements had been made. A new couch and chair and flat screen tv made the living room even nicer than before. The washer and dryer are an added bonus. They also provide plenty of magazines with information about all the things to do in the area and a generous welcome gift of locally made candy, soda, coffee and wine. This house is 1/2 a block from Cherry Republic and just a block farther to Art's Tavern and the center of town. We walked everywhere and only used the car to go to the Pierce Stocking Drive and Leland. If you want to be in the heart of Glen Arbor, this truly is a wonderful place to enjoy as the home base for an unforgettable family vacation. The best part was that we didn't have to leave our pup at home. He loved Uncle Warren's and Glen Arbor as much as we did."

"My wife and I stayed at Grove House in September 2014, at summer's end. As we described the property to friends we could see they didn't quite understand -- a beautiful old farm house on 40 wooded acres, walking distance from Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan, and the sleepy town of Empire. But it's exactly as the owner promised. No surprises; no disappointments; more beautiful than we could have imagined. Walking 40 acres of wooded hills and abandoned orchard with our overjoyed Lab; walking the path to Lake Michigan with the beach to ourselves. If you can live with one bathroom and seek rural lake shore privacy, this property will ruin you. We have no idea where else to go."

"This beautiful condo is perfect in every way. The owners are friendly and provided lots of useful information. The beach front location, just outside the main Homestead Resort area, is quieter and less congested than some others. The well-furnished living and dining rooms are generously sized. In mid-June, Lake Michigan was too cold for swimming, but we enjoyed watching sunsets and searching for Petoskey stones on the beach."
