  • Perfect Getaway

"Our family stayed here during the winter and it was an excellent winter getaway. Very warm and cozy with a good central gathering area by the fireplace and a big table for family meals. It was family friendly with enough beds for all of us and a crib for any babies if desired. The kitchen was great too and we even managed to do some winter BBQ'ing. Right by the lake and close by town to pick up supplies, but still far enough away to get away from it all for a bit. Enjoyed going to see the lighthouse nearby and winter walks during the day. Mary was a great help throughout our stay and was available for any questions we had at any point. Would definitely recommend as both a summer or winter getaway"

  • Wonderful Vacation Experience

"Creekside was everything we were looking for and more! It is quiet and secluded, close to Lake MI, and a short drive from Traverse City with many other small towns nearby. There is a convenience store right around the corner where you can also sit down and eat as well. Leland is very close and has a nice little diner called early bird. It opened for the season the week we were there. There is a nice place behind it called the Blue Bird Tavern which we also enjoyed for dinner. Downtown Traverse City has so many shops and everyone should enjoy several hours there. Even the guys! The guesthouse is located in the woods on a beautiful little creek and it is just very peaceful and relaxing in every way. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals if you like, there is a washer and dryer if you need to do laundry and everything is very clean and homey. We plan to go back in the future and have already been telling our friends. If you love Lake MI, small quaint towns, good shopping, hiking, boating, skiing, secluded vacation homes, etc... This place is for you."

  • Great Family Stay

"Our family of six enjoyed a couple of nights stay at this Cadillac cottage. The lake and location was beautiful. We spent quite a bit of time swimming boating and floating on the lake. We also enjoyed biking in the area. The stretch of the White Pine Trail from Cadillac to Tustin was a great morning ride and a really beautiful stretch of the trail. It is very accessible from this cottage just off of 115 on the way towards Cadillac. If you take the trail, there's a great little ice cream shop in Tustin that was started by two teenagers--very impressive and great ice cream. We also took our dog hiking on a beautiful trail across the lake from the cottage. It is a nature preserve. You can get there by boat, or we found you can drive over and park as well (good since there's no way our dog would go in a boat). It's probably about 1.5 miles of hiking in dense forest. We saw three deer while in there. Cadillac is also a really fun town, and the twin lakes have lots of opportunities. The cottage is very nice. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed the screen porch and yard. The owner is very easy to work with and great at communicating and answering questions. His caretaker, brother is also a big help and closeby. We plan to come back. It's also very nice to find a place that can be rented for shorter than a week."
