"We had always wanted to see Torch Lake and were pleased to find this property on VRBO. It has it all: lakeside beach, dock, deck, outdoor swings, woodsy out-of-doors feel and a charming "granny cottage". The owner is very organized with instructions, lists of places to eat and things to do, and responsive to questions. The cottage is neat, cozy & clean, with great spaces for gathering, and decorated with very interesting old books for the evening or rainy day. We rented a pontoon nearby and cruised Torch Lake and nearby Clam Lake--great fun!"

"We stayed here for a week in early August 2014. Overall, our experience was great. It was me, my wife, my 2 year old and a 10 lb dog. The cottage was clean and comfortable - but keep in mind - its a cottage. We brought a boat, which we planned on having on the mooring (which is in about 5 feet of water), but they allowed us to use the lift which was great. We spent a lot of time at the Sandbar, its a good 30 min ride @ 25 - 30 MPH. The lake bottom around the dock is rocks, so water shoes are a good idea. Our favorite part of the cottage, which is not shown in the photos, was the large side yard for our dog and 2 year old to run around. There is plenty of room for kids to play and the grass allowed them to be barefoot. The only downsides to this cottage were no dish washer, no access to the washing machine and the electric range was not the greatest.
Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this property (as long as you don't mind doing dishes)."

"Our stay at this beautiful Torch Lake home was great in every way! The Master Bedroom overlooks the beautiful lake and the California King sized bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The other bedroom was huge and could sleep 6 people comfortably - possibly even 8 because one of the beds has a trundle. There is also a sofa sleeper in the den.
The décor was very nice and the furniture placement had good feng shui. The grill on the deck was new and we grilled out and were able to enjoy the sunset. Another night we used the wood that the owner provided to build a fire in the fireplace and watched E.T. Late one evening I went down to the dock to meditate - the stars were beautiful and the lake was very serene and calm. It was quiet and peaceful.
On the last morning, we drove down to the "Flea Market" where a lady makes fresh donuts every Sunday. They were a tasty indulgence. We also had lunch one day at Shorts in Bellaire - their pizza is amazing, as are their sandwiches..."

"We recently stayed at this rental and had the most amazing time in this cabin! We had two boys and our dog! The boys absolutely loved the loft area and thought having the ladder that took them to their room was awesome! The property the cabin sits on is very relaxing and very peaceful! Your are surrounded by trees and wilderness! The river view is breathtaking off the back porch! The fly fisherman and sounds of the fish flopping in the water at night completes the up north feel! The dock is a nice addition for our boys spent hours down their using their imagination and playing! We had a lot of fun! It was family friendly and we found that we didn't even really need to go anywhere else because of all the things we could do right there on the property! It was only a 2 minute drive to the beautiful torch lake! And in close vicinity to a lot of other beautiful destinations and great things to do! The owners were very accommodating and provided us with county maps and information about the area! It was a wonderful family vacation!"
