  • Awesome location! Awesome House!

"If you are looking for the perfect vacation home, this is it. The convienent location is right across the street from a great beach and picnic area. Having a small grocery store almost next door was helpful. And the house had plenty of room for 5 kids and 6 adults. Having 3 bathrooms and central air for our 2 muggy days was priceless. Nice backyard for eating outside and campfires. The refrigerator is large enough to hold lots of food, and the water pressure is strong and no well water smell! Enough dishes for all of your guests. The kids loved the ping pong table downstairs and there are lots of different areas to hang out in. We used the kayaks every day. Long Lake is beautiful and we rented a boat one day and you can temporarily tie up at the dock on the beach. And having a washer and dryer is also a nice perk! Meijers and WalMart are just a short drive away. We were just a 20 minute drive from Lake Michigan and lots of tourist attractions. The owners are great to deal with and were quick to respond to our questions. You will have a great stay!"

  • Beautiful, Quiet, Peaceful, and Serene

"We loved this cabin and our stay. We brought our 18 month old for the week, and really was just perfect. My husband took advantage of the kayaks and the peaceful lake, we read on the deck while the baby napped, and we spent our evenings grilling and enjoying the peace and quiet. This cabin is just close enough to everything - Sleeping Bear, Traverse City, all of the cute towns and lighthouses, but just far enough away to feel secluded and in nature. It's got all of the amenities needed (a washer and dryer would have been nice, but otherwise, this place has it all). We drove 13 hours for this cabin, and it was well worth it! Highly recommend this home for anyone who wants to be "one with nature" while still enjoying all the comforts of home."

  • Another Perfect Stay!

"We stayed here for the second time, in December. Because of an accident, I ended up wheelchair bound just before our trip. We contemplated cancelling, but decided, after talking to Chris, to go for it! The condo worked out perfectly. There was plenty of room to maneuver the chair. The building and the condo are completely handicapped accessible. As in the past, the owners have their beautifully decorated condo completely equipped. Can't imagine visiting Traverse City area and ever staying anywhere else."

  • Perfect Getaway

"We just enjoyed a week long stay at this lovely home, and honestly every aspect of our visit was perfect. Lisa was very helpful and replied right away when I had a question. You can tell that she truly wants her home to be a relaxing getaway for the folks who visit. The home is very gracious and she has thought of so many details to make your stay a pleasant one. The home is situated on a busy street, but we never had any trouble getting in/out of the drive, and there was no need to spend any time in the street-facing front yard, because the back of the home is the beach! We have two young children and I was a little concerned before arriving about being on a busy road, but it was not a problem for us at all. The thoughtfulness of the white noise machines in the bedroom was very much appreciated (although the traffic noise was not loud in my opinion - it was still super helpful to keep the kiddos asleep in their room.) The layout of the house is so nice for a vacation home. There is a long wash/mud/entry room where you can leave all of your bags etc. All of the windows look out onto the bay and the beach and it is just so peaceful and relaxing. We loved the outdoor furniture for meals, and we used the fire pit many times. It made it easy to enjoy these things because we were so close to the home so getting things to and from the kitchen was easy. There is also a large sun room porch that was nice on chilly mornings, since it heated up right away. I enjoyed relaxing with a book there. The decor of the home is modern, comfortable, tasteful, and beautiful. It was spotless when we arrived, and everything that guests may need (cleaning supplies etc.) was very well organized. The location of this home is really nice. We have also stayed in Glen Arbor and enjoyed that, but this was a really great set-up. It's nice to be on the bay, as the water is calm and quiet, but you are still on the vast Lake Michigan. Even though there are neighbors nearby, it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. Maybe because we went early in the season? It was very quiet and peaceful. Being in Traverse City meant easy access to some great bakeries and dining, and yet getting to the Leelanau peninsula was also quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this property, and I hope to stay here again!"
