"Great environment in a historical building that has been modernized. Clean, quiet, with an excellent view from the spacious porch. Living space is modest but we didn't mind as the overall experience was great. Located within walking distance of a wonderful bakery and coffee shop."Guest: Steve M. "Four longtime friends recently retired and decided to celebrate with a girls' color-tour getaway. Beautiful location with nice amenities like fireplace, firepit, and hot tub. It's only a 20-minute drive to downtown Traverse City, so we also visited the Leelanau and Old Mission peninsulas. Great three days! Just make sure to get good directions to the cottage in advance--it's on a private road and doesn't show up on mapping apps."Guest: Mary Jo W. "My wife and I stayed here for one week with our annual Michigan vacation to Traverse City. We love the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, and were delighted with the opportunity to stay there. This little condo has it all! Perfect for two people, it has a comfortable living room with flat screen TV and satellite channels to choose from. The WiFi was spot on, and easy to access. The kitchen is very nice with a modern style and appliances. We cooked only once, however could have easily prepared daily meals. The bed was very comfortable [and with a history of back problems, that is not taken lightly!] and the bathroom also modern and nice, and there is plenty of hot water for the shower. Put simply, this small condo served as a home "away from home" during our stay. It was very quiet staying there, and that is a key element when we look for a place to stay. This condo is easy to access by entering the Mercato and taking the elevator. As one would expect, staying at the The Village also means that you can take the same elevator downstairs to browse the shops and boutiques or get something to eat. We enjoyed several breakfasts at Cuppa Joe. Hands down, we would easily stay again. Thank-you John for the great experience!"Guest: Kurt A. "We rented the lodge for my Hubby's birthday weekend. The weather was perfect for late September. In the 70's all day and 60's at night. The lodge was easy to get to, clean and in a very private location. It is on long lake for those not familiar with TC, and it's about 10-15mins from downtown TC."Guest: MM Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 8, 2014View listing

Redefine Comfort with a Traverse City Vacation Home
Staying at tacky, overpriced hotels while vacationing is a bad habit that needs to be stopped immediately. You'll understand why the minute you step foot in a vacation home. Instead of cramped, homes are spacious and expansive, giving you and your family all the room you need to stretch out. Instead of waiting for your turn to use the shower, you can enjoy multiple bathrooms, in addition to multiple bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and whatever your heart desires. Instead of eating whatever the continental breakfast or nearby drive-thru has to offer, cook your own meals from the comfort of your very own kitchen. And instead of retreating to the balcony—if your hotel even has one—you could enjoy a backyard with a lake.
The Best of Northern Michigan
Traverse City strikes the perfect balance between large town and quiet summer getaway. There's plenty to do here including hiking though the beautiful forests, boating on Lake Michigan, or enjoying any of the multiple beaches in the area.
