"we had a great week here at captain jack's place. the description is accurate and everything was clean, neat, and orderly. our 'chefs' loved the plancha, and we ate rather well that week, eating in almost every night. the second kitchen and bathroom was a nice bonus since we had a full house of adults. our ride out on the catamaran was smooth and relaxing. jack was prompt to answer any questions we had and address any concerns. we would not hesitage to rent here again."Guest: jan l. "This condo was exactly as described, yet better once we were there. We had plenty of room to relax, enjoy one another's company and were close to so many things to do in northern Michigan. The owner was very helpful in answering my questions through email and I appreciated his patience as we sorted out the details of our trip. I flew from Alaska to Michigan for this special weekend away with my sisters and I was so pleased and relieved to see how wonderful this condo was (it was my job to find us a play to stay!). I highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling to this area."Guest: Patricia G. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 27, 2014View listing
"My wife and I stayed here for one week with our annual Michigan vacation to Traverse City. We love the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, and were delighted with the opportunity to stay there. This little condo has it all! Perfect for two people, it has a comfortable living room with flat screen TV and satellite channels to choose from. The WiFi was spot on, and easy to access. The kitchen is very nice with a modern style and appliances. We cooked only once, however could have easily prepared daily meals. The bed was very comfortable [and with a history of back problems, that is not taken lightly!] and the bathroom also modern and nice, and there is plenty of hot water for the shower. Put simply, this small condo served as a home "away from home" during our stay. It was very quiet staying there, and that is a key element when we look for a place to stay. This condo is easy to access by entering the Mercato and taking the elevator. As one would expect, staying at the The Village also means that you can take the same elevator downstairs to browse the shops and boutiques or get something to eat. We enjoyed several breakfasts at Cuppa Joe. Hands down, we would easily stay again. Thank-you John for the great experience!"Guest: Kurt A. "Beautiful view, and a darling guest cottage. This place looks small on the pictures, but it is like staying in an oversized hotel suite. With the separate bedroom, and a pleasant sized living area, it is a great place. Spotlessly clean, and a great view. What more could you want??"Guest: danielle s. Traverse City Travel Tips

Traverse City is the definitive "Up North" experience for Michigan! If you want beaches, forest trails, great shopping, and fantastic restaurants, they're all within your reach. There's lots of Traverse City lodging available for your vacation. Redefine Comfort with a Traverse City Vacation Home
Staying at tacky, overpriced hotels while vacationing is a bad habit that needs to be stopped immediately. You'll understand why the minute you step foot in a vacation home. Instead of cramped, homes are spacious and expansive, giving you and your family all the room you need to stretch out. Instead of waiting for your turn to use the shower, you can enjoy multiple bathrooms, in addition to multiple bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and whatever your heart desires. Instead of eating whatever the continental breakfast or nearby drive-thru has to offer, cook your own meals from the comfort of your very own kitchen. And instead of retreating to the balcony—if your hotel even has one—you could enjoy a backyard with a lake.
The Best of Northern Michigan
Traverse City strikes the perfect balance between large town and quiet summer getaway. There's plenty to do here including hiking though the beautiful forests, boating on Lake Michigan, or enjoying any of the multiple beaches in the area. Go on an adventurous stroll through the rolling Sleeping Bear Dunes, check out some local brews at a microbrewery, and enjoy all the fine dining and shopping this fantastic town has to offer.
