  • So relaxing!

"The pictures just don't do this rental justice! I was blown away over how beautiful it all was. The kitchen is spacious with a nice big stove. The beds are comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Oh and the VIEW! SO beautiful!! We woke up early every morning to watch the sunrise. I would stay here again...and often"

  • It felt like home!

"We just returned from our first trip to the Traverse City area, having chosen this home without a personal referral. We could not have been more pleased, we felt right at home from the start. Although it is adjacent to a busy highway, the position of the home, the trees and plants provide a wonderful buffer for the daytime noise. A raised be garden provided us with herbs for cooking and flowers for enjoying. The house was cozy, allowing six adults adequate space with some minor concessions-sharing the shower and using the hideaway bed were a small price to pay for this great house. A "secret" beach space with fire pit and hammock beckons from across the highway. We had a lovely fire one evening with a spectacular view of the sunset and the stars. The owner couldn't be more conscientious. He lovingly built this home and his desire to share it with guests is apparent. It's a short drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes, the darling towns of Suttons Bay and Traverse City. Thank you for helping our family create great Michigan memories!"

  • Beautiful condo in a beautiful location

"John is a wonderful owner of a beautiful condo which looks over a pretty little courtyard off the balcony. He was kind enough to tell us about the surrounding area and point out some of the little known gems in the area. This well maintained condo is in a great are of TC with a natural bakery (Pleasonton), wine tasting (Left Foot Charlie's), coffee shop (Higher Grounds) and two truly wonderful restaurants just one floor below the condo. Will definitely stay here again."

  • Quiet Comfort!

"My wife and I stayed here for one week with our annual Michigan vacation to Traverse City. We love the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, and were delighted with the opportunity to stay there. This little condo has it all! Perfect for two people, it has a comfortable living room with flat screen TV and satellite channels to choose from. The WiFi was spot on, and easy to access. The kitchen is very nice with a modern style and appliances. We cooked only once, however could have easily prepared daily meals. The bed was very comfortable [and with a history of back problems, that is not taken lightly!] and the bathroom also modern and nice, and there is plenty of hot water for the shower. Put simply, this small condo served as a home "away from home" during our stay. It was very quiet staying there, and that is a key element when we look for a place to stay. This condo is easy to access by entering the Mercato and taking the elevator. As one would expect, staying at the The Village also means that you can take the same elevator downstairs to browse the shops and boutiques or get something to eat. We enjoyed several breakfasts at Cuppa Joe. Hands down, we would easily stay again. Thank-you John for the great experience!"

Traverse City Travel Tips

Experience a Rejuvenating Return to Nature at Traverse City Vacation Rentals

Traverse City is the definitive "Up North" experience for Michigan! If you want beaches, forest trails, great shopping, and fantastic restaurants, they're all within your reach. There's lots of Traverse City lodging available for your vacation. With just the click of a button, you could be spending your next summer getaway at one of the many Northwest Michigan lake houses available in Traverse City.

Redefine Comfort with a Traverse City Vacation Home

Staying at tacky, overpriced hotels while vacationing is a bad habit that needs to be stopped immediately. You'll understand why the minute you step foot in a vacation home. Instead of cramped, homes are spacious and expansive, giving you and your family all the room you need to stretch out. Instead of waiting for your turn to use the shower, you can enjoy multiple bathrooms, in addition to multiple bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, and whatever your heart desires. Instead of eating whatever the continental breakfast or nearby drive-thru has to offer, cook your own meals from the comfort of your very own kitchen. And instead of retreating to the balcony—if your hotel even has one—you could enjoy a backyard with a lake.

The Best of Northern Michigan

Traverse City strikes the perfect balance between large town and quiet summer getaway. There's plenty to do here including hiking though the beautiful forests, boating on Lake Michigan, or enjoying any of the multiple beaches in the area. Go on an adventurous stroll through the rolling Sleeping Bear Dunes, check out some local brews at a microbrewery, and enjoy all the fine dining and shopping this fantastic town has to offer.
