"This was our first visit to the Leelenau and our stay at the cabin at Strawberry Hill was the perfect launch. Quiet, great for heading out on bikes, walks, close to great food and, oh, the awesome bay. It was a wonderful spot to begin exploring the area. We especially appreciated Cindy's many great suggestions. Lovely place!"

"Take away some drain issues on to separate days of rental (which I need to add were handled in a timely manner by owner), we had a great stay at the Beulah Chalet! Plenty of space for entire extended family with grandkids enjoying bunk room, viewing of wildlife in meadow from deck, and fires in back yard. New kitchen was very nice my wife loved the cupboards! From the washer, dryer, dishwasher, linens, towels, grills, and other supplies our entire family was impressed feeling right at home! The Chalet is centrally located with many activities for all ages within a short drive or walk. Boated on Crystal Lake many times and Lake Michigan once, hiked sleeping Bear Dunes, shopped in Frankfort/Traverse City, dined at Cherry Hut, and viewed Beulah fireworks. Highly recommend the Chalet for large families to enjoy a "home away from home" made possible by owner. Our group hopes to return in 2017!"

"A group of friends decided to rent this home for an annual guys weekend up north. This home was perfect! We loved the lake, the outdoor kitchen, the patio, and the abundance of sleeping space. The location is great, we planned on a lot of road biking and never rode on a road that wasn't in pristine condition. It was hard to leave this home though! Thanks to the owners for letting us stay and for being very responsive!"

"The cabin was clean, charming and nicely decorated. It was the perfect size for 4 of us, but definitely would accomodate 6. It's a quick walk to the beach. I didn't count steps, but seeing other properties with the endless staircases made me appreciate our easy walk to the beach. The beach is a combination of sand and rocks, but there is plenty of sandy beach on the stretch. My kids (11& 14) chose to make a game of standing on the giant rocks and jumping off. This was our first time in northern Michigan. The view and water were breathtaking. We spotted an eagle every evening around 5pm looking for his evening meal. The house is located close to the Good Hart General Store, which is perfect for simple items. The draw for the store is that it's the only place for miles around for food. It's on M119 (tunnel of trees), which makes it a perfect stop for those doing the scenic tour up Lake Michigan. A few adorable shops and a delicious Crepes stand make it the perfect place to get a snack or even an "on the go" meal. Oh, and the pies at Good Hart…both sweet and savory. Worth it. It was close enough to do a day trip to Harbor Springs or Mackinaw.
Back to the house: The owners were very helpful in answering my questions and letting us know what to expect and what we might need to bring. They really had everything there that we needed to enjoy our stay. The dishwasher was a nice bonus as well. :-)
We were able to get cell phone reception, but it truly was about "checking out" for awhile. No wifi or television. The kids brought DVD's to watch when they needed some down time or the weather was bad.
We had a great time."
