"We took 4 kids and 5 adults to stay for a long weekend. Originally, when I was looking for a rental, this one was not available the day we needed to check in. He went above and beyond to accommodate us so we could check in late. The owner answered all of our questions and even called us immediately when we had several questions a week before check in.
The layout was great. So comfortable for everyone. There are more beds than shown in the photos, which was a nice surprise. Deer Lake is so close and so nice that with young kids, it was perfect and the amenities are like no other. The house has WI-FI, a fire pit, a nice porch, seperate levels for privacy and plenty of room for everyone. We will definitely be back.
The proximity to Petosky was less than 20 minutes, an hour to Traverse City. It was a nice location if you want to see more in Northern Michigan. We truly appreciated the home, the owners and the location!!!! THANK YOU!!"

"I've stayed at the Cottage Garden Guesthouse many times over the years and in every season. This little gem sparkles, whether surrounded by the lush summer gardens designed and tended by the owner (whose design sense and green thumb are amazing!) or covered in autumn leaves or big puffy snowflakes (the better to enjoy the gas Franklin stove).
As another reviewer put it, you open the door and just BREATHE! The kitchen is vintage charm, with everything you need for housekeeping, BBQs, cozy homemade dinners, whatever your mood calls for. The cottage is on a lake bluff surrounded by pines, and the breezes are heaven! You can look across Lakeview Lake from the upstairs living room, or best of all, from the sliding glass doors in the downstairs bedroom. If you're lucky, at sundown on a warm summer night you may be treated to a short bagpipe concert from far across the lake.
The decor is beautifully designed rustic charm, with lots of warm woods, touches of shabby chic, and all-around comfort. There's a nice patio outside the bedroom with cafe table and chairs, and a Weber grill. One of my favorite things to do is to sit on the patio with a good book and just watch the little nuthatches at the feeders, or the chipmunks darting in and out of the gardens.
Pure, blessed peace! There's no other place quite like it."

"This beautiful condo is perfect in every way. The owners are friendly and provided lots of useful information. The beach front location, just outside the main Homestead Resort area, is quieter and less congested than some others. The well-furnished living and dining rooms are generously sized. In mid-June, Lake Michigan was too cold for swimming, but we enjoyed watching sunsets and searching for Petoskey stones on the beach."

"My family spent a week at the Bearberry House and couldn't be happier with our stay. The home is beautiful, fully equipped, located within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the area and was so comfortable. We had 8 adults and 4 children and we had so much fun playing games, cooking, sightseeing and exploring the area. Our greatest accomplishment was climbing Sleeping Bear Dunes! This part of Michigan is gorgeous and clean. There are so many things to see and do but it doesn't feel "touristy". The flowers around Glen Arbor were blooming and so many varieties! The grandchildren loved seeing the wildlife including black squirrels, deer and even a porcupine! The owners were so accommodating and gracious. Be sure to take the Sleeping Bear scenic drive and try to climb it (if you dare)! We also visited a lighthouse and Fish Town and had a wonderful time there. We would love to come back some day and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else."
