"So close to Traverse City and activities, we couldn't have picked a better location. The home is spotless and the availability of paddleboat and rowboat can't be beat. Just the two of us but there is room for another family, if needed. Owner was helpful when we locked ourselves out (went fishing without key and thought lower level
was open), and called mother to come by with key...., priceless. The trees were turning the week we were there which made the vacation memorable. Thanks for a wonderful time!"

"I certainly enjoyed my stay at your apartment in Leland. The 1906 house is up to date but full of vintage details and furniture. I especially appreciated the framed information in each room. I always know what I expect in lodging but, especially in a private home, I like to know what is expected of me. Every question I might have had was answered before I could ask.
The location is perfect if you enjoy exploring the town and walking to the beaches to search for Petoskey Stones and Leland Blues. And, of course, it's close to the Bluebird, my most favorite restaurant, where Bob, Cory, Forest & Zack make me feel like a local.
My only hope is that a 5 star review doesn't attract so many other potential renters that I will have trouble booking a stay next year.
Thank you Carolyn for all of your help. You've been a pleasure to work with."

"I lived in NYC for decades and my French husband has traveled the world...so... for better or for worse, we are two pretty picky people when it comes to traveling. After staying here four nights, I can safely say, the Carriage House at White Fence gets two big thumbs up from both of us. The view of Traverse Bay out the living room window is nothing short of spectacular. Oh, the pink dawns...no two the same...the changing light and colors are such good medicine for the soul. My husband is a swimmer and he loved taking a dip out front of the house in the crystal clear water. I read novels under the glorious shade trees---there are a few outdoor seating areas here to choose from. Inside the carriage house is a beautifully designed home. The owner is an architect---and obviously a good one. An abundance of light, views galore from the kitchen bar area, and the high bedroom ceiling is composed of stunning open beams. The chic decor is a mix of chocolate browns, white trim and lively splashes of red. There are also gallery quality framed photographs on the walls, taken by the owner. Wine, cheese, salad and other goodies were left for us as a surprise welcome and Kathy, the owner, went out of her way to provide detailed information on local restaurants and activities. She's a jewel and ditto for White Fence---a true gem. We'll be back and thanks!"

"I have rented this property several times and will be returning again this Spring. It is the perfect place for girls weekend due to the number of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone. It has the perfect location on the beach and a wonderful deck to enjoy the view and the local wine. It is simply the best as it is extremely clean and well stocked."
