  • What a fantacsit time in a beautiful spot!

"We all had such an excellent time at your lake home. It was so comfortable and the kids (including the big kid, my husband) had the best time out on the water and playing in the sand. The toys keep the children busy for hours and it was always easy to get them to seep - they loved the bunk beds. It was such and nice and relaxed time with plenty of room for us all. Thank you for sharing such a special place."

  • Awesome Graduation Experience

"Perfect home away from home for extended family during graduation. Home is beautiful and well-equipped. Enjoyed preparing family dinners in the well appointed kitchen and sitting on the fabulous front porch. A pleasant walk to Ann Arbor and U of M activities."

  • Perfect for Parents... Too Many "Quirks" For Me

"We had 10 family members visiting over graduation weekend, and they LOVED their time at the farmhouse. With that said, my husband and I (late-twenties) both agreed that we personally would not want to stay there. PROS: The owners are extremely nice and accommodating. The size and layout of the house is awesome, and there's plenty of parking for large groups. The amenities in the bedrooms and the house overall are convenient. The location and proximity to downtown is perfect. We also made great use of the grill and the sunroom. Overall, this is an extremely unique property, particularly for this area, and our family had a great time. CONS: Some things that could be considered charming or rustic just seemed dusty and kinda gross. We love B&Bs and renting large homes for gatherings of family/friends, so we know not to expect hotel-style amenities. However, the attention to detail at this property was lacking. After the "professional cleaning," I found myself wiping out the tub (found HAIR -- yuck), staring at huge cobwebs in corners, and scrubbing the stickiness off of the tables in the sunroom. We also tucked a few decorations that we thought were creepy in drawers, and our family removed the stuffed animals from the beds right away (seemed like germ factories). There was also this horrible odor, which turned out to be garlic that was left in the garbage disposal, when we first arrived. In addition, some of the spare linens for the home -- our family was there for five days and some wanted to change sheets -- were clean, but stained and had holes. None of these problems seemed big enough to contact the owners to fix, and our family just rolled with the punches. (After all, there were cleaning supplies available.) However these are things you expect to be done when you rent a property. You want it to feel like home -- just a nicer, cleaner version. With that said, I think the owners would have responded to these issues right away, but it didn't seem worth it. They weren't major to our family, but I still found myself apologizing for the inconveniences and a bit embarrassed for the oversights. If I were staying there, they would have majorly detracted from the overall experience."

Ann Arbor Travel Tips

Make Your Vacation Sparkle With Ann Arbor Vacation Rentals

Step outside your Ann Arbor lodging to discover the fifth largest city in Michigan. This place has no shortage of activities to occupy your time during your vacation. In addition to the beautiful cityscape and nearby natural areas, Ann Arbor is a cultural hotspot filled with live music, theater, and more. The Ann Arbor Film Festival is just one of the notable events that comes to town each year. For those looking for great food and fun, this area is perfect. Famous for its breweries, the area is also ideal for beer lovers.

Stay Outside the Bustle of Town in Michigan Lake Houses

Your Ann Arbor lodging can place you in the heart of the city's action, but it can also place you on the outskirts of town so you can access the beauty of nature. In-demand Michigan lake houses are also available near Ann Arbor. Whatever location you choose, you can't go wrong with Ann Arbor vacation rentals. This city provides a perfect center for your Michigan vacation.

Let's Consider Hotels Versus Vacation Rentals

Although luxury hotels are available in Ann Arbor, the most affordable Ann Arbor lodging will always be vacation rentals. Putting you in homes (or even mansions) which exceed the beauty of most luxury hotels, these rentals also put you in the ideal location. Better yet, Ann Arbor vacation rentals will not increase the price of your vacation. In fact, they will help lower it, especially if you're traveling with groups or with family, or for any extended period of time. Ann Arbor is a great place to take a vacation, filled with culture, music, and fun, and is just minutes away from some of nature's most beautiful scenes. With the privacy and price of vacation rentals, your Ann Arbor lodging can become your home away from home.
