"We celebrated our 1st Wedding Anniversary in October at the cottage and it was the perfect location to get away as a couple. Melisa & Roger were available if needed, but we essentially felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves. We were fortunate with amazing weather & the scenery is simply gorgeous in the fall. Cozy little place to escape reality! Hope to visit in the summer eventually. Thanks for making our anniversary as memorable as the wedding day!"

"I made reservations for a weekend stay at the Palmer House as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. Needless, to say the weekend was a perfect gift for both of us! We spent an unforgettable weekend of; living, entertaining, and breathing in- this awe inspiring home, that was the designed by FLW, and built with love by the Palmer's. Words can not do justice to this "house beautiful". We truly were overwhelmed by the level of detail, originality, and beauty throughout the house, and the grounds are just as beautiful. Many thanks to the Sue and Gary for their welcoming hospitality (enjoyed your sharing a few anecdotes of Palmer's life in their Wright house), and for allowing us to spend time immersed in history.
As a side note: For out of town guests, this home is a very short drive to downtown Ann Arbor- full of great restaurants, shopping and very close to Nichols Arboretum- please find time to make a trip to Zingerman's Deli- you won't be disappointed!"

"Some friends and I decided to rent this home and the home down by the lake for a wedding, rather than a hotel. We had a blast at both homes which were separated by only 50 yards. We enjoyed staying down at the lake home during the day, kayaking, swimming, etc. and cooking out and enjoying each others' company at this home during the evening. The family room is gigantic with plenty of couches, tables, and chairs. Along with the patio outside (complete with a gas grill), we cooked some wonderful dinners. Plenty of good folk music and books for reading, a basketball hoop outside, we were never bored. PLENTY of beds and pull-out couches for sleeping. We had no problem accommodating our large group. I would reccomend this to any large family or group. Rent the other home also!"
