"I made reservations for a weekend stay at the Palmer House as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. Needless, to say the weekend was a perfect gift for both of us! We spent an unforgettable weekend of; living, entertaining, and breathing in- this awe inspiring home, that was the designed by FLW, and built with love by the Palmer's. Words can not do justice to this "house beautiful". We truly were overwhelmed by the level of detail, originality, and beauty throughout the house, and the grounds are just as beautiful. Many thanks to the Sue and Gary for their welcoming hospitality (enjoyed your sharing a few anecdotes of Palmer's life in their Wright house), and for allowing us to spend time immersed in history.
As a side note: For out of town guests, this home is a very short drive to downtown Ann Arbor- full of great restaurants, shopping and very close to Nichols Arboretum- please find time to make a trip to Zingerman's Deli- you won't be disappointed!"

"Yes, it was a beautiful view of the lake, saw a Great Blue Heron out on the dock. Brent & Mary were very friendly & accommodating. A must see would be the Hidden Lake Gardens, we went on the driving trail through the trees and around the courtyard grounds, unique scarecrows were all along the trail. Cherry Creek Winery was also a 'must see'. Drove by the Buffalo Ranch on Roundtree Road, west of where we were staying, saw a few Buffalo on the property enclosed by a fence, (not like they were 'roaming free' in Wyoming). Bone Island Grille is a good restaurant, good burgers and a tasty Wet Burrito, Artesian Wells is another good restaurant, displaying a variety of motorcycles. Beautiful rolling green hills, felt like we were 'up-north' but we were 'down south'. Good possibility that we will return in the future."

Great home and location for hosting family for Ann Arbor wedding
"This grand home worked perfectly for us as a centrally located, welcoming and comfortable gathering spot during our daughter's Ann Arbor wedding week. It was the perfect location to host out of town family, make wedding day preparations, and host a good-bye brunch on the morning after the wedding. The home is beautifully restored and the owner a gracious host."

"What a wonderful, well-appointed large cottage for our children and grandchildren to enjoy with us. There were plenty of beds, EVERYTHING you could possibly need for summer vacation. The deck furniture was top rate and the water was perfect for the little ones. We enjoyed the portable firepit for smores. Best of all, the bowling ally long table - which we truly filled! Thank you so much. We very much appreciated such a nice place."
