"Our family was lucky enough to find this lovely cottage while we were in the area for a relative's graduation party, making for a nice mini-vacation. We had a delightful time, and Lisa helped make our stay extra special by offering to take us for a ride on her pontoon boat on Vineyard Lake. The lake was very relaxing and the weather was perfect, and we loved watching the sunsets from the dock every night. My son and I also had a great time exploring the lake by kayak.
Our kids (ages 15 and 17) loved the loft area in the cottage, and we enjoyed eating dinner at the patio table in the immaculate and beautifully landscaped back yard. The cottage was well-stocked with amenities, and there were lots of movies and games to keep busy with. Lisa was very knowledgeable and helpful about steering us to the best places and restaurants to visit in the area. She really helped make it a perfect little vacation!"

"What a wonderful, well-appointed large cottage for our children and grandchildren to enjoy with us. There were plenty of beds, EVERYTHING you could possibly need for summer vacation. The deck furniture was top rate and the water was perfect for the little ones. We enjoyed the portable firepit for smores. Best of all, the bowling ally long table - which we truly filled! Thank you so much. We very much appreciated such a nice place."

"We had family from Texas, Arizona and California staying at the lake house for Hillsdale College Graduation. It was a great location (i.e. ten miles from the college), very comfortable and well furnished. There was plenty of space to eat, visit and play pool. The only down side was the two people sleeping down in the basement had noise from the pump all night. Otherwise, there was not any negative feedback. Jim & Carol were easy to work with and everything went off without a hitch. Thanks for providing such a beautiful place! There are activities provided for all ages. We did not have any little ones, but the house is well furnished for kids too."

"This cottage offers the unique combination of a time-capsule-worthy vintage decor with a coziness reminiscent of a warm hug. It is a true lake cottage experience - simple, straightforward, and no frills... perfect surroundings to help you shut down and escape from the normal world. We spent chilly mornings and evenings in the lower level, playing board games, watching vintage movies, and enjoying meals cooked in a more than adequate kitchen. Given the spectacular view of the lake and the rainbow of fall colors from the trees, we opted to retire every night to the sleeping porch, and the sunrises and sunsets were a great reward for that choice. There is a serenity that comes with being on the lake in the off season...the sounds are more peaceful, the air is filled with the crisp smell of crunchy leaves and the warm smokiness from the fire built in the backyard pit. Are there fancier, more extravagant rental options on North Lake? Of course...but none will hold a candle to the authenticity of this original beauty. Needless to say, we highly recommend this place."
