  • Unforgettable Weekend

"I made reservations for a weekend stay at the Palmer House as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. Needless, to say the weekend was a perfect gift for both of us! We spent an unforgettable weekend of; living, entertaining, and breathing in- this awe inspiring home, that was the designed by FLW, and built with love by the Palmer's. Words can not do justice to this "house beautiful". We truly were overwhelmed by the level of detail, originality, and beauty throughout the house, and the grounds are just as beautiful. Many thanks to the Sue and Gary for their welcoming hospitality (enjoyed your sharing a few anecdotes of Palmer's life in their Wright house), and for allowing us to spend time immersed in history. As a side note: For out of town guests, this home is a very short drive to downtown Ann Arbor- full of great restaurants, shopping and very close to Nichols Arboretum- please find time to make a trip to Zingerman's Deli- you won't be disappointed!"

"Yes, it was a beautiful view of the lake, saw a Great Blue Heron out on the dock. Brent & Mary were very friendly & accommodating. A must see would be the Hidden Lake Gardens, we went on the driving trail through the trees and around the courtyard grounds, unique scarecrows were all along the trail. Cherry Creek Winery was also a 'must see'. Drove by the Buffalo Ranch on Roundtree Road, west of where we were staying, saw a few Buffalo on the property enclosed by a fence, (not like they were 'roaming free' in Wyoming). Bone Island Grille is a good restaurant, good burgers and a tasty Wet Burrito, Artesian Wells is another good restaurant, displaying a variety of motorcycles. Beautiful rolling green hills, felt like we were 'up-north' but we were 'down south'. Good possibility that we will return in the future."

  • Just Right!

"This house is charming, clean, and had everything we needed for our four day family gathering. It was a comfortable home base to hang out in and to catch up with each other in between our venturing out. The kitchen is extremely well organized, as is the whole house. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the loft, a lovely space in and of itself, provided the extra room needed. The new, huge bathroom in the basement meant that there were no waits. We loved the laundry set up as well. The fact that we didn't need to buy things like laundry or dish soap and other incidentals was most appreciated! The location was perfect for us. We were minutes from groceries and restaurants and there was a park with a playground right across the street. I-94 was very close, and even though the house is on the west side of Ann Arbor it's near downtown, campus and the stadium. Ravi was helpful and easy to work with. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Great place!

"This home met and exceeded all our expectations for our family gathering. The large kitchen, dining and deck area accommodated our group of 16 easily. The house was well stocked with all the supplies and amenities that we needed plus many extras for lake fun. We will definitely be back again."
