  • This place was amazing

"The house was very clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and roomy, and well stocked! The deck was awesome, large, shaded, we spent alot of time relaxing there, they had plenty of deck furniture. The lake was clear, clean and warm. The fire pit area was really nice. We had several camp fires there. The whole area is very quiet and peaceful. We found many good restaurants and town is close if you forgot anything. The owner was so nice and warm and we felt very welcome! The whole area is nice. We will definitely go back."

"Yes, it was a beautiful view of the lake, saw a Great Blue Heron out on the dock. Brent & Mary were very friendly & accommodating. A must see would be the Hidden Lake Gardens, we went on the driving trail through the trees and around the courtyard grounds, unique scarecrows were all along the trail. Cherry Creek Winery was also a 'must see'. Drove by the Buffalo Ranch on Roundtree Road, west of where we were staying, saw a few Buffalo on the property enclosed by a fence, (not like they were 'roaming free' in Wyoming). Bone Island Grille is a good restaurant, good burgers and a tasty Wet Burrito, Artesian Wells is another good restaurant, displaying a variety of motorcycles. Beautiful rolling green hills, felt like we were 'up-north' but we were 'down south'. Good possibility that we will return in the future."

  • This cabin has all you need

"I rented this cabin as I had family coming to the hillsdale area for a family reunion. We really enjoyed the cabin as it has all you need for an enjoyable stay. Fully stocked kitchen that meets all your cooking needs. Very nice deck off the kitchen. The back yard is very spacious with a beautiful view of the lake and nice fire pit and swings. Easy to get to and close to towns if you choose to leave. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great getaway."

  • Vintage Authenticity

"This cottage offers the unique combination of a time-capsule-worthy vintage decor with a coziness reminiscent of a warm hug. It is a true lake cottage experience - simple, straightforward, and no frills... perfect surroundings to help you shut down and escape from the normal world. We spent chilly mornings and evenings in the lower level, playing board games, watching vintage movies, and enjoying meals cooked in a more than adequate kitchen. Given the spectacular view of the lake and the rainbow of fall colors from the trees, we opted to retire every night to the sleeping porch, and the sunrises and sunsets were a great reward for that choice. There is a serenity that comes with being on the lake in the off season...the sounds are more peaceful, the air is filled with the crisp smell of crunchy leaves and the warm smokiness from the fire built in the backyard pit. Are there fancier, more extravagant rental options on North Lake? Of course...but none will hold a candle to the authenticity of this original beauty. Needless to say, we highly recommend this place."
