"In searching several websites I came across this gem of a home last year. Being in contact with Rosemary this past year I felt I got to know what this home means to her. Lovely does not even begin to describe this wonderful property. It's beautifully decorated with every personal touch you could imagine. It's one of those places where you feel at home right away. We would start our day by spending relaxing mornings having coffee on the screened in front porch, to relaxing in the afternoon in the heated saltwater pool. We finished our day after sunset all sitting around the fire pit laughing and sharing stories. When family time is so precious just being together, it's like Rosemary knew exactly what we were looking for. Vacation is always sad when it comes to an end, but knowing we'll be back next year will give all of us something amazing to look forward to all year long. Thanks again Rosemary!!"

  • Wonderful Stay

"We really enjoyed our week at this cottage. The owner, Wendy, was great! The area is very rural but quaint and charming. There are many wineries within 30 minutes that were very fun to explore. We had a lot of fun on Clear Lake. It’s only about 10 minutes to drive around the lake to Fuller’s Campground where there is a larger beach and swimming area that my kids preferred. We also rented a pontoon boat for a few hours for a reasonable price at the campground (they have good ice cream too). We went to the beach at Warren Dunes several times – about 30 minutes away. We also visited the town of St. Joseph’s multiple times which was about 45 minutes – very cute beach town. We loved the screened in porch – my 11 year old son even slept out here a few nights. The Weber grill was great and very easy to use. The TVs all have Netflix – which my kids loved. The firepit in the back was a lot of fun too. The stars at night are absolutely amazing here. The cottage in the back for the kids was really cute. It was really great being able to bring our dog – she had a blast! Do make sure you bring a lot of bug spray! We will definitely be visiting again."

"The beach house is the perfect home away from home. LOCATION, location, location!!! Amenities from the fully stocked kitchen, cozy bedrooms, fully furnished decks, to the beach cruisers & 2 person kayak this home has everything you'll need to have an action packed or completely relaxed stay. we stayed 3 nights with our 3 adult daughters, son in law & 2 boyfriends. we had very unstable weather from blazing heat,, T storms, strong lake winds & temps in the 50's. The house has plenty of board games, we visited many local hot spots, can't say enough about the home & the location."

"Great property, even more room than I thought there would be! Nicely maintained and close to everything you'd want to see and do in South Haven. We had a great trip! The owner was great to work with and especially quick to respond to questions. He was accommodating at the last minute when we wanted to change our arrival day. Thanks!!!!"

Southwest Travel Tips

Southwest Michigan covers the counties of Berrien, Cass and Van Buren along the shores of Lake Michigan. This may not be the first place that springs to mind for finding sugar- sand beaches but this area does have some beautiful bays. It also produces some fine wines and fresh vegetables. During the winter, it is a fun place for skiing and snowboarding. In the summer, swap your ski poles for your golf clubs and enjoy some of the championship golf courses in the area. Those who enjoy a slower pace of life and local history will appreciate the museums and antique shops which can be browsed in this scenic area.

Stay on the Great Lakes with Southwest Michigan Vacation Rentals

If a homely place to stay with a fireplace or wood stove is what you are looking for, then consider staying in a vacation rental. Each rental home has its own individual charm and may have scenic views over the lakes or mountains of this delightful state. Rental homes have room for everyone, including the family pet and allow the whole family the space to do as they please. No fighting over one TV set or a single bathroom; choose a place to suit your needs.
