Great beach house with pool
"Our family had a wonderful stay here with three young children. The pool and outdoor area were an absolute hit with the kids - we had to convince them to go to the beach! The salt water pool was lovely on the skin and eyes, and there were plenty of towels and water toys to keep everyone happy. Loved all the outdoor seating for lounging and dining, with the second kitchen right next to the pool! The renovated upstairs kitchen was beautiful, and stocked with quality pans and ample kitchen tools to create every kind of feast. The bedrooms and bathroom were exceptionally nice. My favorite space was the screened porch, which was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee and listen to the birds. I loved that the house is situated in a quiet neighborhood without many cars passing by, but close to the beach. There is a great fruit and vegetable stand within walking distance, where we picked up most of our produce each day. Warren Dunes, which is just up the road, has a nice beach with lots of hiking trails. Cherry Beach, a short drive, is a rather special spot worth visiting. The owner was very responsive and personable, and made our stay that much better. We all agreed that we would like to return!"

"I thought the property was accurately represented online and through the photos. It is an older cottage but clean and right on the water. The price was high and we never used the separate guest house which smelled musty. The beach was beautiful and the views from the screened in porch were stunning. The two king bedrooms are a plus and the beds were comfortable with plenty of storage space. The surrounding towns are a short drive and the farmers market on the weekend in Union Pier is excellent. I would say the biggest complaint we had is the Sat-Sat rental since check-in is late in the afternoon and check out is early the following Sat. As a result, you don't get a "full" weekend and our kids that work we're not really able to enjoy the rental for more than a day."

"We stayed here to visit Warren Dunes with our kids and we brought two dogs as well. The large yard was great for the dogs to run and play and our kids had an absolute blast with the tree swing and the ping pong table they discovered in the basement. It was the perfect place to stay for us - conveniently located, fully furnished and cozy as could be. The fire pit was great - we enjoyed smores around evening fires.
Our stay was so much better than we ever could have had at a sterile, cold hotel. Booking our stay was easy and quick and things couldn't have been better. We're definitely looking forward to staying here again soon!"

"My family of 4 (include 2 little toddlers) had a wonderful time in Sawyer! This place was like a cute little cottage and the location was excellent. When we walked in, the house was pretty neat and clean... mostly. I saw some leaves and bugs on the floor so I vacuumed the place before we really "settled" in. I'm not like a neat freak, but my toddler boys are always on the floor touching and picking up things so I just had to vacuum and make sure. The beds were not made so we made the beds ourselves. This house had everything provided... From cooking utensils, bug spray, beach towels, dish detergent and detergent for the washing machine.. you really don't need to bring anything except your own clothes and toiletries. The only thing I wish we knew was that this house doesn't have a bath tub... it only has a shower. Because we have little ones and we really needed bathtub... I would've brought our own baby tub if I knew. Other than that, we really enjoyed staying here and specially enjoyed eating dinner at the screened in porch every night. Sawyer is such a pretty little town... and the Cherry Beach was absolutely beautiful. We will definitely come back again!"
