"We really enjoyed our stay. It's a scenic area and the house is well maintained and well-equipped. Wineries, U-Pick farms, and Lake Michigan beaches are a short drive away. We hope to return again someday."

"Don't tell your friends or you will NEVER be able to book this place during the summer, unless you book it around the day after you leave.. now the jokes are aside...
AMAZING. We were fortunate enough to have the pool to ourselves the ENTIRE time. We have a 6yr old boy who is in his phase of learning to swim/swimming on his own and this pool was fantastic! The room was amazing, quite (over a non-rented/occupied room) so my son could play/stomp without disturbing anyone. The weather was PERFECT, all days.. even if it were a bit chilly... the pool was heated and NICE.
The room was spacious enough for probably four people (we had three) and the stairs were nicely out of the way when you walked up to your room. You have a private entrance, TV (cable & WiFi), small microwave, electric stove top, decent size refrigerator which we stocked, nice dishes, well lite, ceiling fan and A/C! All the creature comforts of home.
Just a good stones throw from Douglas downtown for dinner(s) or walking the small shops. My boy LOVED the park and we met some really nice people from all walks of life (you have to get to Saugatuck north on Blue Star Hwy. Also, if you are into finding hidden treasures (we found two early 20th Century typewriters -1911 and 1914 then you need to stop at Saugatuck Antique Pavilion (South of Blue Star Hwy from Randolph Street).
The hosts are really nice people; honestly you cannot ask for better people.. type of people you could image being family friends, having dinners with or just being neighbors.
In the end, my wife and I only visited the St. Joseph beach once and that's when we stayed in Stevensville/St. Joseph. REASON - We did NOT want to leave our rental..
Private with some casual check-ins (e.g. everything ok, need anything) and some friendly conversation
So, yes, tell your friends, tell your extended family and prepare to make your reservations MONTHS in advance or you will be shaking it in the local best western or some no-tell-motel....
Have fun.. it's worth it... I bet its amazing in the fall and winter too!!!!

"We had a wonderful time at this lovely cottage. It was the perfect vacation for our family with 2 young children (4 years and 2 years old). The kids loved swimming in the lake and playing in the sand - and it is all just outside the door. The cottage is clean and in great condition. We took advantage of being close to some other towns like South Haven, Holland and Paw Paw. We loved being close to the Kal-Haven bike trail. I would definitely recommend!"
