  • Great vacation home!

"The house had everything that we needed for our family of 11 ( 8 adults and 3 children) with plenty of room to spread out. The outdoor shower was wonderful! The golf cart made it easy to get the provided beach chairs and toys to the beach. The beach itself was beautiful and not crowded. We cooked our meals in the well equipped kitchen (there was even an extra freezer with an ice maker!) It was fun exploring Grand Beach in the golf cart! We'll be back!"

  • Outstanding Beach Getaway 1hr from downtown Chicago

"This house was perfect! We needed a week out of the city after the winter we had and could not have found a better place. The house itself is deceptively large. Over the course of the week, we had another family stay with us. Since they stayed on the other side of the house, it was like they weren't even there sometimes. This was particularly nice in the mornings instead of every body being all over each other. We easily could have had several more couples up there comfortably. This house would work perfectly for a group trip to get out of the city. There were times during the week that I had to get some work done, so I was grateful for the free fast wifi. Our 2 year old loved the beach and the big yard. The one day when it rained, he ran around like a madman in the HUGE rec room downstairs with the equally huge teddy bear. All the appliances and finishes were modern, which was a very nice touch. Most rental houses feel like grandma's musty old cabin. This feels like a really nice house that happens to be in a gorgeous beach community. The area is perfect if you're not already familiar with it. Cute restaurants and boutiques all throughout New Buffalo and great outlet malls in Michigan City. Plenty of golfing options, including the Grand Beach public course which is a short walk away - or you could rent a golf cart for the week and drive from your front door straight to the clubhouse. I can't wait to get back up there with a group. Such an easy trip from the city."

  • Perfect family getaway

"Comforts of home, with peace and quiet of woods. Quick, pretty walk to the Lake made this a perfect spot for family with 3 kids. Lots of things to do nearby: sailing and Kayaking in New Buffalo, dune-climbing and water slide at Warren Dunes, bumper cars at Capt. Mike's. Leslie was a great communicator, made planning easy. Looking forward to a return to Bluebird Cottage."

  • Great place to spend time with family!

"We spent a fabulous week on the lake! We had 2 families with kids (age 11-14). The house was clean and had plenty of room for everyone. The listing was accurate and owners were very helpful and friendly. The large deck had more than enough space to socialize, the waterfront area was wonderful, there was a fire pit on the property and a woods where you can find plenty of wood to burn, there's lots of yard space to play lawn games (all available at the house), there's 2 kayaks, a rowboat and a canoe available to use, and the downstairs pool table and dart board were a big hit. We rented a boat (and a stand-up paddle board) and had it delivered--the lake is quite small, but just big enough to pull the kids on the tube. Also, because the lake is small and not busy, we were very comfortable letting the kids explore in the kayaks--as long as they had lifejackets! There is really something for everyone at this lakehouse--highly recommend!"
