  • Perfect place for a weekend getaway

"Diamond Lake is gorgeous, and Bob and Judy's place is a great place to stay! The cottage comes fully stocked with whatever you may need--paper goods, towels, utensils, pots and pans, so on and so forth. Being dog-friendly was a definite plus in our books! The beds are very comfortable, and there are several sliding glass doors that offer a beautiful view of the lake and a lovely breeze. Bob and Judy definitely made us feel like family. When we had some trouble with the boat lift, they came out ASAP to check it out and made sure our stay was the best it could possibly be. Thank you for a great trip! We will definitely recommend this lake cottage to family and friends."

  • A splurge that's worth it

"This premium-priced modern cottage is a class act all the way. It sits right on the beach in a charming (if somewhat overbuilt) lakeside community that is fun to explore on foot or bike. There are stunning views of Lake Michigan from both floors. The house is tastefully decorated, well-appointed, and comfortably furnished. Great bed, great shower, nicely equipped kitchen, bikes, barbecue, and use of a private beach. The house was impeccably clean on our arrival. The property manager is conscientious, friendly and helpful. The Dunes are glorious in the autumn, but be warned that most shops and restaurants in the vicinity seem to close down on October 1 and things are pretty quiet..."

  • Magical and Cozy Mini-Moon for 2

"My husband and I rented this cabin the day after our wedding for a "mini-moon." It was cozy, clean and beautiful. Sitting on the screened in porch felt like we were in a tree house. After the craziness of wedding planning, the private pool deck and hot tub were exactly what we needed. Stocked with everything we needed to cook a meal. When we did leave, the cottage was a short distance from yummy restaurants, vineyards, breweries and farms. The sunsets at the beach were perfect, we had the coast to ourselves. Vicki was always a phone call away for anything we had questions about. We can't wait to come back and we recommended it to all our friends."

  • Outstanding Beach Getaway 1hr from downtown Chicago

"This house was perfect! We needed a week out of the city after the winter we had and could not have found a better place. The house itself is deceptively large. Over the course of the week, we had another family stay with us. Since they stayed on the other side of the house, it was like they weren't even there sometimes. This was particularly nice in the mornings instead of every body being all over each other. We easily could have had several more couples up there comfortably. This house would work perfectly for a group trip to get out of the city. There were times during the week that I had to get some work done, so I was grateful for the free fast wifi. Our 2 year old loved the beach and the big yard. The one day when it rained, he ran around like a madman in the HUGE rec room downstairs with the equally huge teddy bear. All the appliances and finishes were modern, which was a very nice touch. Most rental houses feel like grandma's musty old cabin. This feels like a really nice house that happens to be in a gorgeous beach community. The area is perfect if you're not already familiar with it. Cute restaurants and boutiques all throughout New Buffalo and great outlet malls in Michigan City. Plenty of golfing options, including the Grand Beach public course which is a short walk away - or you could rent a golf cart for the week and drive from your front door straight to the clubhouse. I can't wait to get back up there with a group. Such an easy trip from the city."
