"The house is in a gorgeous spot directly on lake Michigan. Loved having an expansive yard and not too many (and not too steep) stairs for beach access. The house is laid out wonderfully for 2 families and the windows all opening to the sounds and sights of the lake is a welcome treat. We had 4 adults and 4 kids ranging in age from 9 to 1.5 years old. They had a crib and snap-on high chair for the toddler that was really nice to not to have to pack. The house was clean and in good shape - the kitchen could use some updating but everything was functional. We loved being nestled in the trees and saw families of deer regularly. Surprised the bugs weren't worse given all the trees but still bring your bug spray! The Wi-Fi/cell connectivity really is an issue so if you need to stay in touch, this may not be the place for you. We were able to get cell service up the road a bit but it made calling for pizza or trying to contact a family member in a crazy storm a bit of an adventure! The kayaks and beach toys were fabulous - just an incredible setting. Connie and Hugh are very laid back and helpful when needed. All in all, one of our favorite family vacations to date."

"My husband, son and I had a completely relaxing, peaceful few nights and days at this sweet little cottage on quiet Cobert Lake! Though we could stay only a few days, the serenity of the place made it seem as if we were gone much longer. Upon arrival we went directly to the end of the dock and were greeted by a large 2-1/2' dogfish, an auspicious beginning to our stay. We made use of the kayaks, rowboat, firepit and grill - feeling as if time had momentarily stood still. The cottage is thoughtfully decorated - one gets a good sense of the owners' personalities...fun! There were plenty of spices for cooking and a hearty basil plant off the patio that was a perfect addition to our salads. Many thanks Kim for making us feel at home and sharing your little piece of heaven! We will be back..."

"Our family has rented the Lake Michigan Shores Club Cottage for the last two consecutive years, and we plan to stay again. This is a place with a lot of room, and if you have three children and their spouses and all of their children, you'll need every inch of it. The cottage is very well cared for and has all the amenities--five bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchen sinks and two dishwashers, the private sandy beach is a five-minute walk away and you are half-way between South Haven and Saugatuck. The front yard is big enough for bocci, baseball, football and tag. The back yard is for grilling, cocktails if you can fit them in, and absolutely killer sunsets. This is a very, very nice private place to stay. Our request for baby cribs was taken care of without a hassle (and, when we left behind a cherished baby quilt, they found it asap and mailed it to us right away). The owners are polite, understanding and very responsive to suggestions as to cottage improvements. The rental is not cheap, but if you can afford it this is the place you've been looking for. It will knock your socks off."
