"I recently toured this property for interest in hosting corporate events and learned at the time, to my amazement, that this spectacular property is available for vacation rental. It is definitely not a typical “rental” property. It is first class all the way both inside and out. What a great place to take my family for a week long stay and get lost in the nostalgia and feel of “small town USA” – the home and the surroundings feel more like the east coast of the USA instead of the mid west America. The home is in the heart of downtown Saugatuck which is one of the most charming towns in Michigan, all privately owned stores and restaurants (within one block of this exquisite home.) It is truly a step back in time, no corporate America.
Although I have not yet held an event (or vacationed here) the tour was amazing and the property will be perfect for private board meetings, product unveilings, private receptions/ dinners and lively strolling soirees on the beautiful spacious grounds. The large veranda style front porch is charming for guests to socialize over a glass of wine or cup of coffee and the quiet serenity of a large private back yard with private back deck right off the Gourmet Viking Kitchen will be great for “grill outs”.
I highly recommend this property for anyone that wants a first class vacation or private event. The tour of this property exceeded my expectations. I definitely hope I have the opportunity to go back."

"My family came from the south for a visit and we rented this cottage for vacation. Douglas is such a quiet and quaint little town yet close to all the area attractions. We brought our bikes and biked to the beach and around town. We picked blueberries and went to the beach. Good restaurants are so close we walked to dinner each night.
This cottage is nicely equipped with lots of space! We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The host was incredible. His customer service was above and beyond the norm. The cottage was clean and pleasant with two full baths. Lots of linens including beach towels. It has two decks with a table, chairs and a nice gas grill. It has clearly been completely renovated. The only possible improvement would be some soft mattress pads.
We had a lovely vacation and will come again."

"Stayed here for a girls weekend, great location! We used the local shuttle bus for $1.00 a person to get us back and forth from Saugatuck. The condo was clean, loved that the bedrooms and two full bathrooms were in the basement. With six people staying in the condo we never felt crowded. Kitchen had everything we needed as we did grill out one night. Great location, would stay here again. Owners were super easy to deal with."

"Thank you for your hospitality! My Mother-in-law and I enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table talking half the night over a perfectly picked bottle of wine. We all enjoyed our stay. We walked into a very clean and kept cottage. We have stayed in several different cabins/cottages over the years and you never know what you're going to walk into, so we always bring a tub of our own kitchen supplies. They were not needed here. So nice to have everything in the kitchen so clean. Although we didn't use it, the grill was also very new looking and clean. Very appreciated! There is a laundry line for hanging wet suits and towels. The cottage was very well stocked with anything you might need plus games for the kids to play and things for the beach too. We also enjoyed a walk on the beach every night. So nice not to have to deal with driving, parking and a whole lot of other people. We were pretty much the only ones at the beach. The sunsets were remarkable! We also went for walks around the roads and we saw deer EVERY morning. They don't run off either. You could stand there for hours at a time and watch them within just a few feet from the road. I can't say enough about how nice our stay was. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much! (Just an added note for those complaining about the musty smell, which really wasn't that bad. It is an older home in the woods in Michigan. They all smell like that. It brought back a lot of wonderful memories staying with my bestest friend at her Grandparents house.)"
