"Our family of 4 stayed at the Playhouse recently and had a most enjoyable time. There is a breathtaking view from almost every room in the house. We enjoyed peaceful mornings on the screened-in porch, cup of coffee in hand. Even when grilling, you can look out over the water and hear the waves. We enjoyed biking, shopping in St. Joe's and Saugatuck, playing tennis, and lounging on the very private beach. Even when we had a couple of chilly days, we had a wonderful time playing board games indoors next to a crackling fire. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Also, our security deposit was returned within days of returning home. Overall, a wonderful & memorable vacation!!"

"This was our annual girls trip to the area and part of the adventure for us is finding and staying somewhere new every year. We were not disappointed. Owners were great to deal with and very accommodating. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was decorated so cute, had amenities you need for your stay, and was located in a nice quiet area. Toiletries (tp, soap), paper towels, are provided to get you started but bring extra to get you through the week. Our favorite feature was the outdoor shower. The beach chairs were really nice for our daily jaunt to the Lake. The four of us were very comfortable and happy with our "home away from home"."

"I thought the property was accurately represented online and through the photos. It is an older cottage but clean and right on the water. The price was high and we never used the separate guest house which smelled musty. The beach was beautiful and the views from the screened in porch were stunning. The two king bedrooms are a plus and the beds were comfortable with plenty of storage space. The surrounding towns are a short drive and the farmers market on the weekend in Union Pier is excellent. I would say the biggest complaint we had is the Sat-Sat rental since check-in is late in the afternoon and check out is early the following Sat. As a result, you don't get a "full" weekend and our kids that work we're not really able to enjoy the rental for more than a day."

  • Great Memorial Day weekend

"Rented both cottages for a party of five adults and a young child. Really lovely, just as described. Bathrooms could use a little updating but otherwise quite nice, and a very quick walk to the private beach. Also easy walk to Blue Plate Cafe for breakfast or lunch, and short drive to wineries, parks, antiques and more. Highly recommend. NOTE: if you are only renting one cottage try for the blue one. There was a boisterous large family next to the yellow cottage, where the pool and deck are VERY close to the cottage. A little noisy at times."
