  • Lovely Stay Again

"We had a great time again this June, staying at Tom and Sue's place. The weather was a little trickier than last year, but the lake as beautiful as ever. My daughters had a good time, and my wife and I scored big with the bluegill! Thanks again, Tom and Sue Ellen!"

  • The view, the view, the view!

"A group of six moms from three states descended upon the chalet for a weekend away. We found the rental to be clean, comfortable and as described. However, you cannot fully describe the VIEW. We loved falling asleep at night to the waves of Lake Michigan. The decor is typical "up north" Michigan feel, with knotty pine and thick wood pieces. The view is incredible and the lake is just a few steps outside the back door. We loved walking up and down the beach, enjoyed each having our own bed and the thoughtful details like games and books if you wanted to do so. Great view of the St. Joseph lighthouse down the way, too. The stairs are a bit steep, so I would be nervous if little ones needed to sleep upstairs, as the only bathroom is on the main floor. But it worked for us nicely. Owner was fantastic to work with and we hope to be back! St. Joseph is close by for shopping, dining and beach. All you need for gas and food is in Stevensville and is right off the freeway, very easy for all of us to find, coming from three states!"

  • Nice location two blocks from downtown Douglas

"The property met our expectations and would be great for most families wanting a convenient location.... and a hang out at the pool option. Kayak rentals two blocks away and Saugatuk is a short walk over the bridge.... best Beech by far is Oval, and it is easier to reach by car..(7 minutes) they charge 6.00 per car, but you have in and out privilages, bathrooms and plenty of parking and plenty of beech. Condo 1 was comfortable for 2 adults and 2 in college... one bathroom makes me wonder about 6 unless you have smaller children. Grocery store is only 6 blocks away and is pretty well stocked and has movie rental if needed. Unit was well equiped and figuring out the light switches was the biggest challenge. Cranes in Fennville had Pies and u-pick fruit... Fennville had Pottery craft store that was very busy on our rainy day and all ages seemed to be having fun. Property Owners responded to questions, not sure about VRBO reservation process....we had a weird charge that we could not get corrected for 20.00. Plenty of area food choices but we liked the Pearch at Wallys and Breakfast at Monroes."

  • Adorable House, Relaxing Stay

"My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend of exploring Harbor County. The location was perfect with just a short drive to Warren Dunes and St. Joseph. The screened in front and back porches were wonderful for summer night relaxing, and the fenced backyard was perfect for our dog. The house itself was cute and cozy, and everything was well-kept and clean. The owners did a great job of making sure we would have everything we needed, like plenty of clean towels and easy to find directions for the thermostat and TV."
