"Our stay in cottage 2 was excellent. This was not our first cabin choice as we do not have a baby and we did not need the crib. It turned out to have everything we needed. This cabin was the right size for our family of five (oldest 17 and youngest 11). We hade plenty of room. The service was excellent and friendly. Our coffeemaker did not work the first day. They had it replaced the same day. I kind of hate to give this place a good review as I would prefer to keep it a secret selfishly. The only thing that could be improves is the pool hours. It closed at five each day. It turned out to not be a big deal as we were at the beach all day and did not need to swim. I highly recommend anyone staying here."Guest: Bill Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 11, 2014View listing
"The lovely one bedroom pink cottage was perfect for me and my husband for a long weekend getaway. Waking up in the little bedroom with the trees and the sun surrounding us was blissful. Sitting in the little all window porch with absolutely no sounds but birdsong and wind in the trees was contemplative and inspiring. Every amenity was provided, including many little table stands to set luggage and meals on (a pet peeve of mine - few places provide enough space for this). The cottage was homey yet aesthetically rewarding in so many ways. Walks to the beach and excursions to South Haven, Saugatuck/Douglas, and Holland provided ample diversions."Guest: Susan H. "My husband and I had a wonderful weeks stay. We spent time on the beach, enjoyed and evening fire, ate dinner looking at the lake while live music played next door, and just relaxed! We hope to make it back again next year, and would highly recommend it."Guest: Deb Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 21, 2014View listing
"My wife, brother and sister-in-law recently stayed at this property with a newborn. Daphne is a great host. She met us at the property and showed us around. She also gave us great tips on restaurants and places to visit. We enjoyed the easy walk to the beach and the short drive to Saugatuck and Douglas. For what you pay, I think it's the best deal around. We had a very relaxing stay at the house. The beds are comfortable, the house is cozy and the vibes are pleasant. You can't beat the price for the area, as well! I recommend it wholeheartedly! s"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 14, 2014View listing
Saugatuck Travel Tips
Find a Comfortable Vacation at Saugatuck Vacation Rentals
When you are looking at taking a vacation, the last thing you want is stress. So why would you want to stay in a hotel room that is cramped and doesn't give you the chance to have some "me" time? Being with your family is great, but it's also important to be able to go into your own bathroom, fill up a deep, jetted tub, and take a long, relaxing bath at the end of a day filled with family time. So when you're looking at taking a vacation to Southwest Michigan, look into a vacation rental in Saugatuck, where you can get a house with multiple bedrooms, an inviting living room, a full-sized kitchen, and large, luxurious bathrooms.
There Is so Much to Do on a Saugatuck Vacation
Once you've got your Saugatuck lodging squared away, the next thing to do is decide what you and your family are going to do on your great getaway. For golf lovers, there are two amazing golf courses in the area found at Clearbrook Golf Club and Ravines Golf Club. Putt the day away on the course while driving away the stress.
Out on the water adventures await on the Star of Saugatuck, a stern wheel paddleboat tour that takes you along the Kalamazoo River and along Lake Michigan. You'll learn a lot about the area as well as get ideas of what attractions can be found. There are daytime and evening cruises, but many think the sunsets on the water are to die for, so you might want to consider an evening cruise!
Southwest Michigan Lake Houses Have Picturesque Views
