"Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed this house: plenty of games, TV options, space, and comfort. The favorite aspect may have been the outdoor shower that was used more than both indoor showers combined! Never turned on the AC , as the trees and breeze kept the house comfortable (with ceiling fans). We drove to Pier Cove beach for space to spread out though we walked to the lake several times. The community stairs (the only walkable public access) are tucked in among trees and led to a teeny tiny space that wouldn't fit us. We drove to Holland and Saugatuck several times for shopping or dinner. Both are lovely. Great time in a beautiful setting."

"Sitting in the large screened porch, up on the bluff, high in the tall trees on both sides with the stunning expanse of Lake Michigan and big sky directly in front of you - it's perfect! The lake can change daily from peaceful ripples lapping the shore to wild roaring whitecaps, and everything in between. Who needs TV when you can watch this show! Waking up each morning in the alcove bed with that view in front of me, always a pleasure to see and hear what Mother Nature has to offer that day. Even if it rains you can still enjoy watching Lake Michigan from the covered porch. The beach is very private and great for long walks or just plain sitting still. The southeastern shore of Lake Michigan offers up some of the best sunsets ever. Whether you're seeking solitude and communion with nature, or prefer an active vacation with family and friends, this location has it all. The towns up and down this part of the Lake Michigan shore, known collectively as Harbor Country, have something for everyone. Visit harborcountry.org online for lots of helpful information. There are a variety of good local restaurants - no carbon copy franchises! The Playhouse kitchen, though, is very well equipped for creating any meal. Nearby towns offer excellent food shopping if you want to eat in or picnic on the beach. Experience a local wine tasting just a few minutes drive away. Some of Michigan's wines are surprisingly good. There is a lovely tennis court on the Playhouse property shared by neighboring houses. Bring or rent water sport equipment and your bicycles. Go hiking in nearby state/local parks. Even if you feel the need to stay connected to cyberspace, the Playhouse has wifi so you can research all that there is to do in Harbor Country. The Playhouse is a great space meant for fun and relaxation, ease and comfort - very comfy beds, plenty of pillows and extra blankets/quilts if it gets chilly at night. Plus there's that beautiful stone fireplace! All was very clean and ready for my arrival, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. The owner responds quickly to any questions or concerns and clearly cares about this amazing vacation property. I've been visiting this area for many years and am so glad I discovered the Playhouse. I'll be back for sure."

"As soon as I walked in to this townhome, I instantly felt comfortable and at ease there. The place was clean and beautifully decorated. There is enough space to be able to spread out to different areas of the home. The screened in porch was my absolute favorite place to be. There are 5 outdoor areas to utilize and the kids loved waving at the passing trains! We were all able to walk to the shops and out to dinner or ice cream. The street was quiet with not too much traffic. The only downfall was all of the stairs in the home, I believe we counted 52 in all and although it was fine for my family, if someone does have a difficult time with stairs, this would not be a place to stay.
I would highly recommend this place for a beach get away."

"My family of 10 had a terrific stay. Swimming in the lake from the private beach or in the pool was wonderful. Beautiful sunsets, each unique. Gorgeous view either from the deck or from the bluff twenty yards away. Plenty of room for the little time we spent indoors. Kitchen was very well stocked with plates, cups, bowls, etc. Add to all this, wineries within a short drive --- especially Karma Vista. We spent the evening of the fourth watching fireworks go off up and down the shoreline. It doesn't get much better than that.
Great communication from the owner.
My entire family absolutely recommends this property."
