"My family and I loved our stay at this house. The house is clean, beautiful, and had plenty of room for all 9 of us. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive. The house does have private beach access which we used to go swimming and watch the gorgeous sunsets. There is not much of a beach this year because the water is so high but it was still nice to go swimming. South Beach is a short ten minute walk from the house and the scenery along the way is beautiful. South Beach is also across the street from Kids Corner (a park) which the kids enjoyed tremendously. The center of town is about 1.5 miles from the house. If we didn't have small children, we probably would have walked to town. All in all, it was a great vacation and we were all sad to go home! We would definitely rent this house again."

"We spent several day's in Lakeside residence and had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful and fully equipped with whatever you need to have a great stay. The owners are very responsive to whatever questions that you may have. Beautiful beach only a couple blocks away. Had a great time and will do it again next year."

Spacious home with first floor master suite, walking distance to a beach.
"We liked the extra-large family room, and the well-equipped kitchen with granite counters and high-end gas stove. The master BR on the first floor is spacious and quiet, has a large closet, beautiful master bath with spa tub that was like a luxury hotel bathroom. Other BR on the first floor is a walk-through room, but you can shut both doors and guests can walk around the other way through the family room. Upstairs are two large bedrooms and a 'vintage' bathroom with a tub and a separate small shower. Very comfortable beds and nice linens in ALL of the bedrooms.
Be aware that the first floor has a few random places with one-step-down, so we were constantly having to watch the little ones to be sure they didn't fall (which of course the baby did once when we couldn't catch him in time). Also, there is no door on the basement stairs. They provide two baby gates so that was helpful. You will find baby gates and a high chair in the basement furnace room.
The washer and dryer are in the basement. There is a low spot at the bottom of the stairs and I hit my head going down to do the laundry so was very reticent to go to the basement during the trip, but laundry has to be done. There is a bedroom in the basement; but the basement has lower ceilings, like a lot of old homes, and just felt like an old basement to me, so I certainly wouldn't sleep there. Teens and 'tweens probably wouldn't mind it though.
We had issues with A/C and electrical, however the homeowner was quick to respond and eager to take care of the issues quickly. I was happy to receive my deposit back very promptly.
You can walk to Tiscornia Beach (a quiet beach area with no public amenities) from the house in about 15-20 minutes. The wagon provided was very helpful in towing the little ones to the beach and just to take them out for a morning walk. You will need to drive to get to Silver Beach, which is a large public beach with lifeguards and nice amenities."

"This was a great spot for a romantic weekend. The cabin is just four rooms: bathroom, bedroom, living room and kitchen, and it is freaking adorable! It had everything we needed and some things we didn't (including a microwave: it was on top of the fridge). We spent most of our time relaxing in the lawn chairs by the fire pit out back, though, and walked across the road a couple times to the lake's only public access, which was a grassy spot with a picnic table. The lake was sand-bottomed and very nice for swimming. The only annoying thing was the constant buzz of lawnmowers during the day on Saturday, but what can you do? People gotta mow their lawns."
