  • Wonderful Rental Home

"This house is so spacious and comfortable even for big families like ours. We had a total of 13 people staying with us and we all had plenty of space. The big back yard made for a great place to all spend time together for meals and such."

  • LOVED OUR STAY!

"Amanda's house was a perfect home away from home for our trip to Lake Michigan. The owners have thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay relaxing and comfortable as home. The 4 bedroom house is clean, full of modern amenities, nicely decorated, and definitely spacious enough for 10-12 people for multiple families with small children and/or teenagers. Master bedroom on first floor and 3 large bedrooms upstairs, 3 bathrooms, and large modern kitchen with all amenities, plenty of dish and cookware. The dining area is separate and quite large also. The house is very clean and was not missing anything we needed...from kitchen utensils to Kuerig to dishwasher and disposal to (plenty of) big fluffy towels, plenty of linens, new washer and dryer, hair dyers, wi-fi, flat screen TVs, office area, covered porch, backyard, garage, even a basement with extra furniture if you have a huge group). The owners have even supplied books, games, bikes, wagons, first aid supplies and a smores kit. Our children LOVED their room with 2 sets of bunkbeds and their own TV for DVD watching. The backyard is a great private (fenced in) quiet get away with a beautiful firepit, table with umbrella, and gas grill. The neighborhood is close enough to walk to the beach (3 blocks) and close enough to the great Kids Korner playground. The neighborhood was very quiet and quaint....great for morning or evening strolls to the beach and town. We LOVED South Haven for quaintness of the town, restaurants, shops, the beach (sand is amazing). South Haven is the perfect location for daily excursions too....to St Joseph (Carousel and beach playground), Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, and Saugatuck (Dune Rides were amazing). Lots to do around even on rainy days. All trips were less than an 40 minutes away. Highly recommend this for a fun, easy beach vacation with all the comforts of home. There are major grocery stores (Meijer and WalMart) within 5 minutes drive. There are plenty of unique restaurants and little shops for browsing and ice cream and toy shopping outings (within walking distance). The owners were available and very responsive to questions that we had before and after our stay. You will not be disappointed in Amanda's House if you are looking for all the comforts of home and fun in South Haven."

  • Location, Clean and Beautiful area

"My husband, two boys (9 and 12 years) and I enjoyed a week in South Haven. The location of this house is perfect. Wonderful, quiet neighborhood with sidewalks for the boys to bike and scooter. I felt safe letting them play while we cooked dinner on the grill provided. The nice patio set offered a peaceful place for dinner. The fire pit is a plus for s'more making! There are two window air conditioning units and several fans provided. Beds are comfortable. Entire house is very clean, lawn is freshly mowed and everything you need is provided. The giant playpark, within walking distance, is a nice place to visit after dinner. The beach is amazing and being able to walk or bike back and forth is very convenient. If you decide to drive to the beach there are several street side free parking options. The downtown is easily accessed by bike and several ice cream places to enjoy. You must drive to Sherman's Ice Cream, which is a definite must try! Thank you for a wonderful week! See you next summer."

  • Amazing loft in the middle of the action

"Wow. We were blown away at this amazing lift condo right downtown South Haven. Walk to everything.. Restaurants, marina, farmers market, shops and the beach. The condo has a 2 tier rooftop patio that is private and very cool overlooking the shops and a view of the lake. Inside is an upscale retreat with new everything, very comfortable with very spacious rooms and bathrooms. Decorating is on the contemporary/loftish feel which is perfect. There is nothing like this in South Haven. I would highly recommend it and we will be back next year. Only note to be aware of is it is a loft over a wine tasting room so there are steps up to levels 2 and 3 where the condo is. We had no problems but obviously there is no elevator. (Wine tasting room is great btw. That was fun and since it's only open from 12 to 5 there are no issues on either side.)"
