  • LOVED OUR STAY!

"Amanda's house was a perfect home away from home for our trip to Lake Michigan. The owners have thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay relaxing and comfortable as home. The 4 bedroom house is clean, full of modern amenities, nicely decorated, and definitely spacious enough for 10-12 people for multiple families with small children and/or teenagers. Master bedroom on first floor and 3 large bedrooms upstairs, 3 bathrooms, and large modern kitchen with all amenities, plenty of dish and cookware. The dining area is separate and quite large also. The house is very clean and was not missing anything we needed...from kitchen utensils to Kuerig to dishwasher and disposal to (plenty of) big fluffy towels, plenty of linens, new washer and dryer, hair dyers, wi-fi, flat screen TVs, office area, covered porch, backyard, garage, even a basement with extra furniture if you have a huge group). The owners have even supplied books, games, bikes, wagons, first aid supplies and a smores kit. Our children LOVED their room with 2 sets of bunkbeds and their own TV for DVD watching. The backyard is a great private (fenced in) quiet get away with a beautiful firepit, table with umbrella, and gas grill. The neighborhood is close enough to walk to the beach (3 blocks) and close enough to the great Kids Korner playground. The neighborhood was very quiet and quaint....great for morning or evening strolls to the beach and town. We LOVED South Haven for quaintness of the town, restaurants, shops, the beach (sand is amazing). South Haven is the perfect location for daily excursions too....to St Joseph (Carousel and beach playground), Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, and Saugatuck (Dune Rides were amazing). Lots to do around even on rainy days. All trips were less than an 40 minutes away. Highly recommend this for a fun, easy beach vacation with all the comforts of home. There are major grocery stores (Meijer and WalMart) within 5 minutes drive. There are plenty of unique restaurants and little shops for browsing and ice cream and toy shopping outings (within walking distance). The owners were available and very responsive to questions that we had before and after our stay. You will not be disappointed in Amanda's House if you are looking for all the comforts of home and fun in South Haven."

  • Pure Relaxation!

"Upon entering this property, we knew we had made the right choice. The first impression will elicit a response similar to "Wow, how cool!". The decor made it feel comfy and homey while the location provided a very short walk to the beach. The house looked as though it had been recently renovated, and included all the necessities, including a fully equipped kitchen, excellent outside patio with two tables, gas grill and laundry facilities."

  • Great Place in South Haven

"My family of 10, 2 through 65, stayed a week at this townhome. I can't say enough about our stay. We go to South Haven around the 4th of July each year and have tried several places but have to admit this one was right near the top. The location couldn't have been any better. Two minutes from the door to the beach, only drawback is the trip back up the hill when you're ready to leave but most all of the beaches in South Haven have that issue unless you want to go to South/North Beaches which are extremely crowded. The townhome itself was great.. Loved that it had 3 bdrms upstairs, one on the main level, great for the grandparents, and even a bed in the basement. Having bdrms on each level makes having several families possible without having to share rooms. Full bath upstairs and on main floor was also a plus. Loved the main floor laundry, something that is so great to have. Also being able to use the garage was a plus as well. Very nice gas grill, had to get used to it since it's a bit fancier than we were used to. Also having a wonderful screened in porch which faces the lake is awesome. Spent many hours just sitting in the rocking chair and reading. The weather was great... The owners next door are very nice and friendly, didn't feel we were intruding at all, made us feel very comfortable staying there. Denise answered any and all questions I had and was very helpful. All in all a great place to stay, definitely will consider for our next South Haven trip."

  • LOVED IT!!

"I can't say enough great things about this place!! My family, of my husband, 3 teenage daughters, and I, had a FANTASTIC time in this home and this town this summer!! My expectations were high, because I was SO anxious for a lake/beach vacation with my family. My expectations were met and exceeded! The town was so "quaint", pleasant, friendly, and full of things to do. We surf boarded, biked, walked, shopped, ate, went to a movie, sat at the beach, and even watched a major rain storm roll across the lake (kind of scary….but very cool). The weather could have been warmer, but we were there pretty early in the season. I would highly recommend this home and this vacation!! THANKS TO CHAD AND HIS FAMILY for letting us stay and all his travel tips!!"
