  • A splurge that's worth it

"This premium-priced modern cottage is a class act all the way. It sits right on the beach in a charming (if somewhat overbuilt) lakeside community that is fun to explore on foot or bike. There are stunning views of Lake Michigan from both floors. The house is tastefully decorated, well-appointed, and comfortably furnished. Great bed, great shower, nicely equipped kitchen, bikes, barbecue, and use of a private beach. The house was impeccably clean on our arrival. The property manager is conscientious, friendly and helpful. The Dunes are glorious in the autumn, but be warned that most shops and restaurants in the vicinity seem to close down on October 1 and things are pretty quiet..."

  • Cinnamon

"Terrific rental home, everything you could possibly need was waiting for us when we arrived. Especially great master bedroom with glass shower and whirlpool tub. Literally a five minute walk to Round Barn and St. Julian's wineries. The fall foliage was breath taking, and if you stood silently you could hear the leaves and acorns falling. Perfect time of the year to visit southwestern Michigan."

  • Unforgetable Christmas

"Our family gathered from California, Texas, Florida, Illinois and Thailand at this amazingly well designed home for Christmas. The bedrooms are very large and appointed beautifully. The kitchen was our favorite room which featured 20+ feet of refridgeration and freezer, two dishwashers, two sinks, giant double stove with griddle and a island bigger than most cars. I hate to even write this review as it will only make it more difficult for us to book this fabulous property in the future. This owner and manager are extremely accomodating and deserve the five PLUS star rating. Stop your search here...book now. You won't be disappointed. We will always remember this Christmas as one of the best ever because of this beautiful property."

  • Girls weekend get away!!

"We had a great weekend of moms and adult daughters at Cedar Lodge! Even though the weather didn't cooperate for the hot tub or bonfire for our mid-March stay, we still had a great time and enjoyed a nice fire in the fireplace both nights! Plenty of room to hang out in the living room and kitchen to play some games and just visit. A little tight sleeping for 11 as advertised though. Very comfy beds for 8, but the sofa bed mattress is pretty thin. The sofa itself, however, wasn't too bad for sleeping on top if someone doesn't mind. We forgot to look for the blow up mattress under the bunk bed. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Would be a GREAT house in the warmer months with the screened in porch and lots of outdoor sitting. Kitchen was well equipped and great to hang out in. LOVED the wood all around and could even faintly smell it! The walk to the lake was a little longer than expected, but beautiful views even with the melting ice. Would definitely come again! Lots of wineries and outlet mall close by. Pam was very easy to work with!"
