  • Beautiful Property and an Autumn Visit to Harbor Country.....

"Beautifully decorated Union Pier Cottage with all the amenities you could ask for....Wonderful kitchen, as well as gas grill outside on the deck, perfect for grilling dinner, even with a chilly rain outside. Add a bottle of wine, a crackling fire in the cozy and spacious living room area and the relaxation begins. Beautiful bathrooms and 3 lovely bedrooms (2 Large/1 small~~ but charming) with comfy beds and lovely linens. Nice TVs and WI-FI was great. Would have loved hooks or towel rack in the larger Master Bath, and also had to turn off the jacuzzi motor at night as it was rather noisy in the quiet of the surroundings. Laundry is available via access in the Storm Cellar, a bit dark but convenient. Pool was closed for season but his would be wonderful for families in the Summer I am sure. Saw 2 deer nibbling grass in the morning as I drank my coffee and they quietly circled in the lovely yard surrounding the house. Wonderful experience @ Chelsea House and thanks to the BLUEFISH folks for making it all so accommodating."

  • Everything and more

"Our recent stay at the Laid Back Family Compound was perfect. We have 4 grown children (3 married) and 2 new grandsons and having 2 buildings to spread out in gave everyone privacy. It is the perfect blend of an old cottage with all the amenities of a new home. The beach is a 10 minute walk. The yard is fantastic as is the hot tub. As wonderful as the pictures are, the property is even better in person. All 9 "voting adults" gave a 5 star rating and suggested we have reunions here at least once a year. Mark, the owner, was a pleasure to work with and seemed more like a friend than someone I was renting from. We will be back"

"We recently rented this property for a family reunion and it was a blast. We went with the option of renting both units which was an attractive and affordable option. If we all had to pay for hotels and to eat out all the time, I'm sure less people from my family could have shown up. Having the ability to sleep so many people, have two bathrooms, two kitchens, and two grills made this an affordable and fantastic experience. There is even a huge stainless steal table outside with the grills so we could prep, cook, and serve buffet style which is great with so many mouths to feed. The jungle gym is so cute and was like having a babysitter. The kids ran straight for it when we got there and it kept them busy till we could get to the beach. The fenced yard was great for our dogs, and helps make sure the younglings don't wander off too. Using the dryers at night on our towels and swimsuits at night was awesome also, instead of having stuff hanging all over the place. We had a ton of fun and it will be hard for us to beat this experience next year! Thanks to and the owner."

  • Amazing Getaway

"This was a great way to spend New Year's Eve! The house was amazing and a perfect set up. I'm thinking of making this an annual tradition. I would recommend this to anyone and actually have already done so."

Union Pier Travel Tips

Enjoy Lake Michigan by Staying in Union Pier Vacation Rentals

Union Pier, Michigan is a little town that was established in the 1870s. Later, this small town became a lakeshore community with resorts where vacationers would come to get away and relax. Now you can be one of those vacationers by staying in a Union Pier vacation rental. A small town, Union Pier has a gorgeous countryside that is dotted with little antique shops and galleries as well as a quaint ice cream shop.

Union Pier Lodging Provides Comfort and Relaxation

Union Pier is known as a popular vacation destination. Because of being located right on the coast of Lake Michigan, many come here to find relaxation and to de-stress from their hectic lives. In Union Pier, time slows down. There are no appointments or schedules. But to really enjoy this town and its easy-going lifestyle, you can't stay in a hotel. To do so would defeat the purpose of the vacation. Hotels create stress as your whole family is crammed into one or two bedrooms with two beds in each. You need a place where you can truly relax—where there is enough room for everyone.

Enjoy the Lake . . . Or Just Stay Home

What's great about a vacation in Union Pier is you can have an enjoyable time whether you go out or stay in. When planning your trip to Union Pier, lodging choice is essential. By choosing one of the many Southwest Michigan lake houses in the Union Pier area, you will get comfort and space to spread out. Instead of stressing over where to eat or how much it's going to cost for food, just get a few groceries at the local store and have relaxing meals in your lake house. Pack a picnic to take with you to the beach. Everything is low-key which is exactly what you need for the perfect vacation.
