  • Nice location two blocks from downtown Douglas

"The property met our expectations and would be great for most families wanting a convenient location.... and a hang out at the pool option. Kayak rentals two blocks away and Saugatuk is a short walk over the bridge.... best Beech by far is Oval, and it is easier to reach by car..(7 minutes) they charge 6.00 per car, but you have in and out privilages, bathrooms and plenty of parking and plenty of beech. Condo 1 was comfortable for 2 adults and 2 in college... one bathroom makes me wonder about 6 unless you have smaller children. Grocery store is only 6 blocks away and is pretty well stocked and has movie rental if needed. Unit was well equiped and figuring out the light switches was the biggest challenge. Cranes in Fennville had Pies and u-pick fruit... Fennville had Pottery craft store that was very busy on our rainy day and all ages seemed to be having fun. Property Owners responded to questions, not sure about VRBO reservation process....we had a weird charge that we could not get corrected for 20.00. Plenty of area food choices but we liked the Pearch at Wallys and Breakfast at Monroes."

  • Perfect for a quite girls weekend

"A group of six of us stayed here for two nights for a low-key bachelorette getaway. It is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the sun, chat, and sip drinks by the pool. We arrived before the busy holiday weekend so we were the only ones in the building. The owners greeted us when we arrived and were friendly. The condo itself is clean, updated and well-maintained. We traveled from Chicago and we didn't need to bring any items to make two meals each day (but food of course) - the kitchen is well stocked. The pool is gorgeous, plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and the hot tub was great as well. You can walk to plenty of downtown Douglas restaurants and shops, though we loved the condo so much we hung out there nearly the whole time. Oval Beach is just a short drive/bike ride away. Downtown Saugatuck is just over the bridge as well - lots of dining options there too. I would caution however, that although this condo is advertised as "sleeps 12" - there is just no way. Yes, there are 12 places for people to lay down but it would be way too crowded. We had three adult women in each room and spaced was maxed out. If you want some privacy, I would not recommend more than two couples or 1 large family in this unit. The building would be a great option to rent multiple units for a larger gathering. There is a lot of nice common space down by the pool and around the decks."

  • Great little gem

"Took my girlfriend here and came back engaged! It was a great little home right next to the winery -- seriously, just steps away. The winery is located close to everything: other wineries, Sawyer (go to Greenbush), New Buffalo, Three Oaks and so on. The house is beautiful and even though it's right next to the winery, it is secluded enough, especially the side deck. I would recommend it to anyone!"

  • Beautiful Experience

"This cottage was even better than the photos! The view from the living room is amazing - you almost feel like you're floating on a ship. And the home itself was nicely decorated and comfortable and great for entertaining. And it was spotless when we arrived. We love to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped, which is not always the case with vacation rentals. The beach was also lovely and soaking in the hot tub under the stars wasn't too shabby either. We're hoping to make this a yearly trip even though we come all the way from California!"
