  • Great space and super pool!

"We enjoyed a wonderful week at Beach Gallery! It was our annual summer vacation with my 13 fam members -- 8 adults, 4 kids & a baby. The house was laid out wonderfully with lots of space - a full living room and sitting area upstairs and equally as much space downstairs. The kitchen and 3 bathrooms are all newly updated and spotless. We were so happy the dining table seated 8 and then we could seat the kids at either the breakfast bar or the table off the kitchen. We enjoyed night after night of family dinners! There were a lot of games on the shelves for the kids to play, but we didn't spend much time inside. The back had a GREAT pool. We couldn't keep the kids out! The hot tub was super as well. The house had a docking station for our iPod, which was great. The private beach is one house away down a short path. The beach, I'd say about 100 yards wide, is contained by rocks on either end. We wish it was a longer beach so that we could take walks. That was the only drawback. The house is close to town and we enjoyed frequent walks along the marina and to Oinks for ice cream. Overall is was a great week! Small suggestion for owners -- we were regularly confused by the multiple remotes for the upstairs TV. Perhaps a print out with instructions left on the coffee table would help. Also, wasn't sure what all the buttons were for on the hot tub. Again - a small print out on how to change temp, turn on/off lights and also the jets would be nice. :). The owners were very responsive to any questions or issues we had while there, so I know they would appreciate the feedback!"

  • PERFECT location and home!!

"We returned yesterday from our South Haven stay at this PERFECT home...Our party of 12-6 adults and 6 children found this 5 bedroom home large enough for all of us to enjoy the entire week. The large dining room fit our family well with the additional seating at the counter. We enjoyed the large backyard and grill and deck every day...and WALKED to the beach AND downtown from the house within minutes...The bedrooms were large enough to fit us and the bunk room was a favorite of my grandchildren....great office space upstairs also.....Owner was wonderful to work with and helped us with a cable problem we had....you cannot go wrong with this one..."

Southwest Travel Tips

Southwest Michigan covers the counties of Berrien, Cass and Van Buren along the shores of Lake Michigan. This may not be the first place that springs to mind for finding sugar- sand beaches but this area does have some beautiful bays. It also produces some fine wines and fresh vegetables. During the winter, it is a fun place for skiing and snowboarding. In the summer, swap your ski poles for your golf clubs and enjoy some of the championship golf courses in the area. Those who enjoy a slower pace of life and local history will appreciate the museums and antique shops which can be browsed in this scenic area.

Stay on the Great Lakes with Southwest Michigan Vacation Rentals

If a homely place to stay with a fireplace or wood stove is what you are looking for, then consider staying in a vacation rental. Each rental home has its own individual charm and may have scenic views over the lakes or mountains of this delightful state. Rental homes have room for everyone, including the family pet and allow the whole family the space to do as they please. No fighting over one TV set or a single bathroom; choose a place to suit your needs. Larger vacation homes are ideal for sharing with friends and family, especially for holidays, family celebrations and Thanksgiving.
