  • Beautiful U.P. spot!

"We enjoyed a very relaxing week at your cabin! Comfortable beds, a kitchen with everything you could need, a washer and dryer so we didn't have to pack a lot, a fantastic location and view, woods and animals for my 12 year old adventure seeker to explore, a basketball hoop for my 14 year old who doesn't put the ball down and a comfortable couch and remote for my guy who rarely gets to sit! Your location made it easy to hit all the beautiful spots with an easy drive. We've been using VRBO for a long time and you kept the experience easy. Your home was perfect! Thank You!"

  • Best vacation ever!

"Our vacation could not have been better! From the very start, Sue and Ben made us feel like family.....and their beautiful home was perfectly appointed! Everything we could have needed was in the kitchen (beginning with the yummy chocolate cupcakes we found upon our arrival) and the books on the coffee table provided lots of information on all the freighters we watched from the deck. We plan to return.....and stay twice as long next year!! These people are some of the best, and the relaxation we enjoyed in the UP was awesome!!"

  • Awesome stay...

"We were two families, each with a musician performing at the Music and Arts Festival. We have been to Grand Marais several times and this is by far the best place we have stayed and the most affordable! We enjoyed campfires every night, and never ate a meal out...although we did munch a bit at the festival. It was very relaxing, as not right in town, so even with the festival going on, our cabin time was very private. Nice yard for the kids to play yard games...we bought some yard guard so we minimized the mosquito attacks. The kids enjoyed watching movies, collecting kindling for the campfires, s'mores, pudgie pies, and roasting hotdogs over the fire. We made trips to rockhound on the beach, and a walk down the Sable Falls Trail...sad to see the dunes eroding...the beach at the bottom of the falls is completely different than it was 3 years ago. The cabin was clean, and we did not experience any odor problems as noted by the last reviewer, or rodent problems as we did at another place we stayed a few years ago. We will most definitely be back!"

  • Trailwind Lodge

"We just returned from a wonderful week stay at Trailwind Lodge. We went snowmobiling during the day and each evening found ourselves back at the cabin relaxing and enjoying our evenings around the fireplace! The kitchen was well stocked, everything was so clean and we were very comfortable there. The driveway was even plowed for us during our stay! Kevin was great to work with in getting our rental arranged. We enjoyed our stay there very much!"
