"U.P. Michigan is our favorite vacation getaway, and this year we thought we would make life easier and try a rental home instead of camping. My husband and I were in love with this waterfront home! It was right in the middle of all the places we love, AND right on Lake Superior. The home and property were very well maintained, and it made us feel good to know we chose a clean place to stay. What did we hate most? LEAVING! Our 6 night stay was not long enough, and we are missing it already...can't wait to go there again! I really miss the quiet mornings, enjoying coffee and view of the Lake from the deck...AWESOME. Many thanks to Esther and Jim and their Caretakers for making this great dream vacation what it was."

"My husband and I stayed four nights at the cabin. What a great place to get away. Steve gave us a run down on how to use all appliances. The solar lighting is a cool idea. The setting is so peaceful and relaxing. The weather was a bit wet but it did not take away from our day trips. Thank you Steve and Debi for sharing this wonderful slice of nature. The cabin is as nice as everyone has said. It is a great place to get off the grid for a while."

"We came here for a family vacation with our 3 girls (Age 2,8,11) in late August/early September. The house was nice, the water was clear and the setting very quiet. The girls liked having their own rooms, and having bonfires at night. We stopped at the Tahquamenon Falls on the way there. And found lots to do around the Munising area between the Pictured Rocks National Park, and all the falls in the area. Everyone in our group, highly recommends renting a Pontoon boat to see the pictured rocks from the water. We had one rainy day that we used to take a short trip to Marquette. Lake Superior was not as cold as expected, actually quite nice, so we spent a few days swimming in it. And other days swimming here at Powell Lake.
As a bonus, there was one spot on the Deck that we could often get a AT&T 4G/LTE connection on my phone and were able to leave it in that spot, on the table, in a zip lock bag, and tether to other devices from there!
The house had everything we needed. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, and it was great to have all the extra space to spread out and relax. Not to mention the peace and quiet away from all the others traveling around the Labor Day weekend. It was a great time, and enjoyed by the whole family."
