It occurred to me that I never gave you feedback to our stay at Eagle’s Rest:
Everything worked out just fine and even better than we expected – we found our way on our bikes easily to the cabin. Upon arrival I was looking all over the place for the keys as described in your directions, however, could not find them. Until my husband checked the door and it was unlocked. A pleasant surprise.
The cabin is very well equipped and we found everything we needed and more. We greatly enjoyed the outdoor shower and hope that you will still leave it as an option to the beautiful bathroom you are building. We slept in on our last day and proceeded to start cooking a wonderful breakfast with some ingredients we bought on our bike trip to the village. On the second day vacation mode set in and we relaxed completely – a good thing – however, I was not aware, although stipulated in your lease – that we had to leave at 10 am sharp as I mentioned in my email that we will take the afternoon ferry back to the mainland. I just came out of the shower as your friendly neighbor knocked on the door shortly before 10 am. We had to abandon the cabin in a hurry, packing up the half-cooked breakfast and leave. Oh well, a quick farewell to this most gorgeous place you own. I guess in such a remote place, far away from civilization (so it feels) we did not realize that time still is passing quickly …
We left the island after a great experience “downtown” watching the 4th of July parade rolling through the village twice and meeting many kind and genuine friendly folks.
Enjoy your summer and wishing you good luck with your final touches on your very professionally done remodeling job.

"Well I'm not sure I can add much more than what previous guests have already commented but I'll try :) Beautiful location, secluded for that great "Up North" feeling. The home is impeccably decorated which gives you that "Relax and Unwind" feeling from the time you step inside. And as you turn each corner investigating your new surroundings you'll find yourself saying..."Wow....Wow...Oh WOW". Three very well appointed bedrooms each with its own bath and an additional half bath in the laundry room. The home is equipped with everything you will need inside and out. The lake view is spectacular day and night. Great sunsets! The pontoon boat was wonderful. The lake is crystal and quite large. AND if you happen to need additional room for that big family get together, the owners have another wonderful place right next door! Thanks again to our hosts Kevin and Tammy :)"

"Our 4 adults and puppy were so comfortable during our July week-long stay. Cabin was extremely clean and cozy. Did not need the loft beds which was good since it was sunny every day with temps in high 70's to mid 80's so the loft got quite warm by evening. Fans in each room and cool nights made for great sleeping. Thoroughly enjoyed the sand, sauna, and sunrises. Had everything needed to cook and grill at the cabin. Just minutes to our family, friends, and shopping....also to our favorite eating spots in Houghton (Suomi Restaurant for the best pasties and Finnish nissu and the Ambassador for pizza), and a return visit to the majestic Estevant Pines near Copper Harbor. The owners promptly responded to my calls and emails and were a pleasure to meet on our arrival."

"My husband and I loved our vacation at this wonderful cabin. The lake is a great size and we got out in our kayaks every day. The water was nice and calm and it was fun to paddle past the bridges to the river. Enjoyed the sandy beach area and the sauna. The cabin has everything you need, was great to have a dishwasher and washer and dryer. Location is convenient to run into Marquette for dinner or a beer or two at the Ore Dock. We were able to see the Northern Lights one night on our way home from an evening in Marquette. Hope to come back a little earlier in the summer sometime to fully enjoy the beach area."
