  • North Shore Cottages Never Disappoint

"This is our 8th summer visiting North Shore Cottages. We keep returning for a good reason; it is an ideal place to relax, enjoy nature, explore the Keweenaw. And the Chart House cottage made it all the more perfect. Charming, clean, and comfortable. Phillip is a wonderful host. Can't wait to return!"

  • Keweenaw Paradise

"Thank you for allowing us the use of Loot’s Lodge again. We were gifted with unbelievably splendid weather, especially for this time of year. Full sunshine every day, mid 70s to I think even an 80 one day. We never used a drop of bug repellant! I think Friday we noticed a very few nats and a fly or two that did not bother us so I am sure we were on the edge of all the insects emerging. We packed so much cold weather and rain gear and never used it. We very much enjoy the property and location! My wife and I are significant sauna enthusiast and the wood fired sauna at the edge of the lake for post sauna dips is a real treat. This year we dipped in the lake as small mini icebergs passed us by on their way to the South."

"My wife and I really enjoyed this little cottage. The cottage itself is not on the beach, but the sauna is. How they keep Lake Superior from destroying it is beyond me. The cottage is filled with all the cooking gear one would need. Wish there was a gas range, oh well the electric works fine. We brought more than enough food for our stay, so we did not venture into the community for dining. Not sure if the house phone is for renters to use because there is no cell phone signal and no WiFi. No TV also, so if watching movies at night is your thing, bring a lap top and your own DVD collection. The electric heat works great! This is a very tight house. Once you are in with the windows & doors closed, you can't hear a thing, she's well built. The owner has created several special spots to check out the sunsets, have a glass of wine and enjoy the view of Lake Superior. We did the #10 hike just down the road and throughly enjoyed it! The beach is filled with all kinds of cool Lake Superior rocks to gather and it's a great walk up and down it. We loved the place and will return again in 2014!"
