"We loved the island and will be returning for longer next time. We hiked most of the trails and public beaches. The views were amazing and the weather/colors were breathtaking! Location was perfect. We felt right at home!"

"This was our second consecutive spring break to stay at the Rock Cut Cabin. My wife and I (and our dog, Sutton) couldn't have been happier with this rental. The description of the cabin is spot on.
The cabin is perfect for a couple of people. The location is perfect. It lies approximately 2-3 miles outside the center of Marquette. There is a bike path right outside the cabin that leads into Marquette. And although it is on a highway, the traffic noise is not a bother.
The view from the cabin (Lake Superior) can't get much better in my opinion. I can only imagine how nice it is in the summer months. The wireless Internet connection worked flawlessly during our stay and the new TV was a nice addition. The master bedroom was nice with a very comfortable mattress.
Without a doubt our favorite part of the Rock Cut Cabin was the fireplace. My wife and I enjoyed a fire every night during our stay (firewood is provided). You just can't beat the enjoyment of a warm fire, view of Lake Superior all the while sitting in a nice comfy sofa.
The owners are great and answer questions promptly."

"We just returned from a week at this cottage, and had a wonderful time. The location is great, on a hidden little cove at the south end of 16 Mile lake. The lake is great if you have a canoe or kayak since it has lots of islands and inlets to explore and the north end of the lake is totally undeveloped. We saw several bald eagles and heard loons calling almost every day. The location is also close for visiting Munising, Pictured Rocks and many of the beautiful water falls in the area, and only about a 40 minute drive to the Seney Wildlife Refuge, which is definitely worth visiting.
The cottage itself is very nice and well equipped. Our only complaint was that the full size bed in the second bedroom was not very comfortable. We traveled with another couple who used the master bedroom, so we were relegated to the smaller bed....rather hard and creaky. The smaller bedrooms could also use some ceiling fans. Probably not an issue most of the time, but we were there during a pretty warm week. We solved that by picking up a cheap fan at the hardware store in Munising.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return."
