"Our 3 generations of 8 family members ages 63 to 3 enjoyed a wonderful week up north the way vacation is supposed to be. No traffic, privacy, peaceful beautiful views and just about everything an adult or child could think of to do. Fish were caught off the dock with worms, minnows and lures (we found out from a fishing guide in town that our end of the lake was the hot spot). Everything from a small perch to a 24" walleye (all released, no fish cleaners here). We all enjoyed the warm water of the lake and took advantage of the swimming raft, kayaks, canoe and row boat. The kids caught turtles and had turtle races back to the lake. They were in the lake everyday. We went for long walks or bike rides everyday. It was a great old fashioned up north adventure for everyone. Campfires at night, playing games, telling stories, roasting marshmallows and sharing laughs. Kids learning new skills like baiting a hook or paddling a kayak. Holding a turtle or minnow for the first time. Watching the eagles fish, otters swimming by and loons on the lake. It was a wonderful magic vacation we will all be thinking about for a long time. Eating meals in the screen porch was perfect. The kitchen is large and easy to work in with great appliances. The house is all on one level and spread out. Everyone had their privacy. Wi Fi and TV were never missed once. The hosts were great, very responsive and worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and bathrooms great, no waiting in line at that cabin. The washer and dryer really helped out. If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful vacation in a beautiful setting with swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoes, biking, hiking, private places for reading, watching wildlife, campfires, good sleeping and privacy, this is the place. Thank you Rick and Helen for a wonderful week of memories our family will cherish!"
