  • Beautiful log home and perfect location

"For our first visit to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we wanted both a central location for sightseeing and a home on Lake Superior. This home was that and even more. It was close to Picture Rocks, Munising restaurants and Marquette. If you love beautiful scenery, exploring, high end accommodations and the tranquility of the lake then this home is all you could possibly want! We highly recommend Log Home on the Lake for it's cleanliness and attention to quality as well a the helpfulness of the owners Carolyn and Randy."

  • Better than the pictures

"Three families stayed here with 2 kids, 2 kids, and 1 kid for a ski weekend at Indianhead. The kids slept in the same bedrooms as their parents. The house has three levels, we stayed at what they call the main or upper unit which consists of the upper two levels - so this review applies only to that unit. The upper and lower units have separate driveways- so you don't even know the other occupants are there. Beds were very comfortable. The unit is about 500 yards (?) from the arc-de-skiomphe marking the entrance to Indianhead ski area parking lot. This puts it just outside of realistic comfortable walking distance for adults or kids in ski boots. No problem though, its a 30 second drive to drop off your stuff and get going. As others have mentioned, it is nicer than it appears in the pictures. Everything was clean and quite nice. Owner and caretaker both VERY nice, responsive and easy to work with. We all agreed we would stay here again, and just may do so in future years."

  • Highly Recommended!!!

"My wife and I spent a week at Grace Cottage and couldn't have been more pleased. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! The location was perfect for our daytrips to Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, The Great Shipwreck Museum and DeTour Village. Cedarville is quaint and the people are friendly. I recommend a visit to the Maritime Museum. The close proximity to town and the grocery store is very convenient. The owners were very nice and offered some good suggestions of things to do and see in the area. I wish we'd have had more time to just sit out back and enjoy the view."

  • Peaceful retreat, quiet, and charming

"Although the pictures are lovely, they do not tell the entire story of just how beautiful the cabin and location are. My husband and I came to hike and we did ~ we also spent alot more time at the cabin than we had planned on because it is truly a peaceful place. Our six day stay went WAY to fast! We hiked the North Country National Trail at five different locations, all within an hour or less from the cabin. One day we fished and caught enough yellow perch for dinner. We were lucky with weather & our experience with Amy was very pleasant. All the time were were at the cabin and the day on the lake we saw NO other people ~ for us it was PERFECT! THANKS Amy!"
