  • Cottage on the (quiet) Bay

"Having been to Drummond many times, one of the best things about this location is that it is very quiet. We only saw 1 set of jet skis the entire week, other then that there were no motorized boats anywhere near us. Being so, we were able to fully enjoy the hot tub, the sun and moon rises, and just plain old quiet time by the water. I will say though, it's not really "secluded" - there is another cottage next door without a tree line in between the two, but the neighboring cottage didn't have anyone there after the first night so it was not an issue for us."

  • A great place to stay!

"This cabin was exactly what we were looking for! VERY clean and comfy with everything you could possibly need for a great stay. Over looks the water; a beautiful view to wake up to every morning. Even a place for a fire right by the water! so close in fact we had one fall in! haha.. Owners are very nice and the neighbor is very nice and helpful too! Don't think twice about this one."

"This is the best place I've ever stayed at in my 40 years of travels! We had so much fun at Big Pine and Papins Resort, the people and amenites were great! Drummond Island is an amazing place, we went with a group of 11 friends and my two 6 year old kids. We took Jeeps and ran the orv trails and had a blast! My kids had a great time and wanna go back. The landscape is second to none and the island, we will be going back I hope for years to come. I have nothing negitive to say. Thank you Papins for an unforgetable time!!!"

  • Amazing view!

"This moile home was clean, had all new appliances, and was well taken care of for a 20+ year old trailer. The owners were attentive and incredibly easy to work with. My family of four spent the week swimming off the dock, picking fresh raspberries (which were growing on the property), fishing and hanging out at beautiful Drummond Island. We plan on returning to the island and will stay at this property again."

Drummond Island Travel Tips

The Ultimate Outdoors Vacation at Drummond Island Vacation Rentals

Are you the outdoorsy type? Do you dream about fishing, hiking, birding (that's bird watching to those not in the know), and kayaking? If you said yes then Drummond Island is the ultimate dream vacation for you. And as with any dream vacation, the number one thing you need for a dream vacation is for dream accommodations. You can get that by renting a vacation home at Drummond Island. Why? Because unlike hotel rooms that are cramped and impersonal, vacation homes have all the space and amenities you need to make your vacation great. Unlike the stiff furniture and small rooms you get in a hotel, you can rent a vacation home for the same price or less that has multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and a full-sized kitchen—pretty important when you have fishing poles and your other gear to store!

Hiking, Bicycling, Golfing or Kayaking . . . Choices, Choices, Choices

Once your Drummond Island lodging is taken care, now you need to decide what you want to do on your dream vacation. If you like hiking, check out the Heritage Trail—a short 3-mile hike that takes you through an amazing trail of trees and foliage. In the winter it makes a great trail for snowshoeing as well. If golfing is your thing, check out The Rock—a golf course full of scenic views so you can appreciate nature as you tee off. Kayaking is another great pastime for those visiting Drummond Island and a great way to spend the day.

Spectacular Scenery Right from Your Very Own Window

When each day is over, instead of dreading going back to your hotel room with nothing to do, you get to go back to one of the beautiful Michigan Upper Peninsula lake houses and enjoy your evening. You can spend it indoors enjoying one of the entertainment center or out on the deck enjoying the view. Either way, you'll know you're having a good time!
