  • Family Reunion

"Spent a wonderful week in this house. Very close to the water with a nice patio deck and dock. Grandkids, ages 4-13, enjoyed it the most. The lake is so clear and beautiful, the view awesome. It's also close to the county park which has playgrounds, picnic tables, and the Indian Burial Mounds. The owners were very helpful."

  • Excellent Cabin for Weekend Getaway

"I have visiting Drummond Island for many years and have stayed in a variety of rentals. This year I was on the Island with a friend for the Fall on the Island Festival (which is a must for anyone who enjoys Drummond) and stayed in this cute and cozy cabin with an excellent and always breathtaking view of Lake Huron. I found the owners very helpful and extremely easy to work with. This cottage is in a small community of about eight cabins and the neighbors we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings for cooking etc. met our needs. The waterfront has a swimming area that would be nice in warmer weather, and it also provides a good spot to launch a kayak or canoe. I would not hesitate to return to this location."

  • Wonderful home!

"My husband and I booked this rental for our "First Annual" couples snowmobile trip - and this place was perfect! We had 6 people total and it was the perfect house for our trip. Everything was clearly covered and ready for us when we arrived, firewood next to the fireplace and everything. Since we had a large amount of snowmobile gear to bring, it was very nice to have everything else we could possibly want already in the house. The decor was beautiful which gave a nice "Northern Michigan" feel. The beds were very nice, they even had flannel sheets which was perfect after a cold day of snowmobiling. Easy access to the trails and Moran gas station is very close by for necessities. There were many additional touches that I did not expect - a large variety of movies, books, games, local maps, and menu's. The kitchen had plenty of "misc" items such as spices, cookie sheets, even a crock pot which was also unexpected. We had a fantastic trip and hope we can return to this home again either in the summer or next year's snowmobile trip. Thank you Wendy, what a great experience!"

  • PERFECT Family Getaway Home!

"This was our first time renting a vacation home. We needed a place to stay on our way up to Michigan Tech. After reading online reviews of other vacation homes, we decided to take a chance on Cool Water Shores. When we arrived to the home, we couldn't believe what we saw. Deer greeted us as we got out of the vehicle. What a perfect way to start our trip! As we entered the home, you immediately look straight through the home onto the lake. The owners of this home knew exactly what to do to capture the beauty of the area. The gigantic bay windows allow for deer viewing in the backyard every morning and evening. This home had everything you could ever need or want. I loved being able to relax and not have to worry about anything. Throughout the reservation process, anytime I called the owner, Doug, he displayed excellent customer service skills and always made me feel comfortable. I would recommend this home to all my friends and family. Thank you Cool Water Shores for making this Illinois family feel so welcomed! **Info for future vacationers** Since we were there at a bad time of year, there wasn't much to do outside and not much going on in other towns. In fact, we ate at JW's BBQ (which was AMAZING!) and they said it was their last day of operation for the season. If you plan on a Lake Gogebic vacation March-April, make sure you contact all the places you want to visit to verify they will be open."
