"Lovely views of the pond and the big lake from the living, dining and kitchen area. Clean comfortable furniture, not pictured is outdoor table chairs on the deck, we spent much time there. We are seniors, had no problem rowing across the pond, walking to the beach. It would be difficult for those who are not active or disabled. The beach is very private. We saw a bald eagle sitting on driftwood. Just 2 of us, the king bed was great, liked the adjoining half bath. Suggestions for guests, bring dish towels and dish clothes and a box fan or 2. The ceiling fans are nice but we needed more. I hope the owers read this and leave a box fan in a closet. They have plenty of bath towels. Kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, dinnerware, silverware, utensils. If need spices, flour, sugar, bring along, there is salt, pepper. Don't forget coffee and toilet paper! I liked finding the refrig and bathrooms were free of remnants from other guests. There is a very close by neighbor to the West, no one was home. A realtor showed that house while we were there. This neighboring house has a birds eye view of the deck and west side of house. Total privacy is something crave when in Grand Marais, the house was a great fit for us, we will return and take our chances."

"We rented this house for a week to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. There were 11 of us (8 adults and 3 children). We had a fabulous stay! We enjoyed the room the house provided along with the hot tub, fire pit area, and private dock! We made many memories and can not wait for the opportunity to come back and make more!"

"My family just wanted a quiet extended weekend away before school started and Carolyn and Jim made this happen for us and much more. Not only were we allowed to arrive quite late, but the next day Carolyn gave us some great pointers on where to go in the area. The cabin has the perfect decor for getting away in the Northwoods and is situated within feet of the shore of Solberg Lake. The views at night from the dock bench were perfect and just seemed to wash away any care you may have had. My youngest daughter loved playing in the lake around the dock and my other daughter loved going into town to visit the shops Carolyn recommended. My wife just wanted a get away and she found a place where she is already trying to line a ladies getaway to. The best recommendation I can give is from my youngest when she said, "can we come back a few times next year?" Thank you Jim and Carolyn for opening up your cabin to us..."

"Stayed for nine nights this summer and couldn't have found a better place. It made a great base camp to head out from for exploring Door County. Very clean and well taken care of you can tell that Terry cares a great deal for the place. It's a quiet location too which makes it great even on the days you want to stay in and relax. Wireless was a little tough to stay connected to (it worked best in the main bedroom) though there are coffee shops close by with wireless if you need it."
