"Our stay at The Pine Cottage in Ephraim was perfect. This cottage is so conveniently located in the peninsula as a base to all of Door Counties activities. The cottage provided everything we needed for a very comfortable stay."

"This year marks our 3rd stay at this beautiful little cottage. It is absolutely perfect for our family. It is very neat and clean and in a fabulous location. We take advantage of the canoe and paddle the pristine Peshekee River. The fishing on Michigamme was great. We also enjoy the short drive to Marquette and spend a day on Lake Superior. I highly recommend this cottage for those who love peace and quiet and birds and nature."

"I spent a week relaxing and "retreating" following an extremely busy year of work and study. My daughters joined me for a couple of days but most of the time was spent quietly enjoying the beauty of this area and this lovely spot. My pups loved the kayak. They're both small dogs and I'd take them with me in one of the kayaks that was supplied with the property. The little beach is great and the water is so clear! Waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck as my favorite morning starter. The clear railing was such a great idea and allowed for an unobstructed view of life and sunsets on Hanley Lake. My favorite sound was the loons calling to each other. The owners are so accommodating and the house is stocked with everything one would need. Grass River Recreational Area provided a great area for hiking. Bellaire is so close and we enjoyed Short's Brewery and a couple of other eateries. The Village Market has everything you could need including a great wine and beer selection. I even participated in a painting class at the local pottery spot (Central Lake) taught by the new high school art teacher - so much fun! This is a great place for a family or couples getaway, or for a single just needing a retreat!"

"Spent 4 wonderful relaxing nights at the Black Bear Cabin! What a wonderful experience! The amenities, location and overall setting was fantastic. If you truly want to experience a rustic, up north, UP Michigan experience, then definitely consider staying at the Black Bear Cabin. We will definitely be back!!! The Keweenaw Peninsula & Houghton / Hancock area is very cool!"
