  • Trail Riders

"This is an awesome place. Inside there is plenty of room for a larger group. Our group had 11 adults and 4 children (5 families all together). We fully enjoyed ping pong, a game of pool and the jacuzzi. Living space is fully functional. Outdoors has close assess to the boat ramp, nice pier on property, large porch length of home lakeside. Super trails for ATVs/snowmobiles. Large garage to keep the toys out of the elements. Highly recommend for families and friends. Feel children should be over age of 3 only due to stairs going to the lower level."

  • Family Stay for Wedding

"This home is conveniently located within walking distance of the Lake, close to entertainment, and easily accessible. The home is very comfortable with plenty of room to sleep 9-10 people. We were in town for our niece's wedding and were very comfortable for the 3 nights we stayed in Marquette."

  • So nice, so relaxing !!

"My wife and I decided to vacation in the U.P. of Michigan and we did some research online for places to stay. We came across Strouble Lake House and we couldn't believe our eyes !! This is a spacious newer home, located on a private lake, only about an hour from the Mackinac Bridge. We immediately made our reservations to lock in the date. The owners, Gary & Trudy met us at the house and gave us a tour of the home. All I can say is "WOW". What a beautiful place inside and out. So clean and inviting and nicely decorated. The view of Strouble Lake from the front of the home is worth a million dollars. There is a fishing boat and motor available to rent and we decided to use it a few days to tour the lake and for some much needed fishing. There was nobody else on the lake all 3 days we were on the water and the perch and catfish we caught entertained us the whole time. We had 3 Loons stay near our boat when we drifted and we also saw ducks, geese and Sandhill Cranes in the area. We made use of the bonfire at night and Gary made sure there was enough wood for our entire stay. We strayed away from the house a few times and made it to Pictured Rocks (boat tour), Toonerville Trolley Tahquamenon Falls tour, The Soo Locks Tour and the Garlyn Zoo. All of these excursions are two thumbs...highly recommend them all, if you are looking for something to see/do while you are in the U.P. After one week of superb "R & R", we can honestly say that this was one of the nicest vacations and places we have been on in a long time. We loved our stay so much, we are already planning our next trip back here (possibly in the fall or next spring). Thank you Gary and Trudy for a wonderful experience at Strouble Lake House !! You are the best !!!"

  • Loved Our Getaway and Cabin in the Woods!!

"We absolutely loved staying at this cabin! It was nice, cozy, and clean. Very accommodating, and very easy process of reserving and check in/check out. I would very much recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice U.P. getaway! The cabin was nicely tucked back in the woods off of the road, and you could not see any of the other cabins nearby at all. We had the nice use of the owner's canoe to take a relaxing paddle around their lake across the street. My kids LOVED the bunk beds upstairs, and it was also nice having an assortment of games that we had never played before, and paper, books, and crayons for the kids. The cabin is also very centrally located that allowed us to visit Pictured Rocks in Munising, Munising Falls, Miners Castle, and "Kitch-iti-kipi" Big Springs. We also took a ride to the 1800's mining town inside the Fayette State Park - which was very cool! And while you are there, be sure to go and have dinner at the Jack Pine Lodge, just about 8 miles down the road - very nice place and good food! Thank you for a wonderful getaway! We had wished we didn't have to leave!"
