  • Great!

"We had a great stay at Grace Cottage and plan to return next summer. Great location, great view, great cottage, great hosts. Our dog loved the yard and dock. Kitchen with everything you need, laundry, town close by. Afternoon boat ride was fun. I grew up going tto Cedarville and took my kids when they were growing up. Great to be back."

  • Clean and Comfortable!

"This cottage was the perfect getaway for my family. So much to enjoy and explore outside on the sandy beach or on the secluded, beautiful road. We enjoyed long walks while kids rode their bikes we brought from home. Views are stunning all day long, but my favorites were the sunsets and twilight hours. Gorgeous! Inside is very comfortable and spacious for several people. The cottage is well stocked with everything we needed and included a vast selection of games and movies too. We are looking forward to a return to Camp Hawker in the future!"

  • Beautiful Views On The Lake

"Yearly we try to find a place large enough to bring our kids, their families, and some aunts and uncles. We were not pleased with our last trip, so looked for something that was large and equidistant from the various travel points (Chicago, Saginaw, and Minneapolis). The owners were nice enough to let us check in early, and even though the dishwasher was out of order (being a homeowner, we all know that happens), the entire experience was fantastic. We rented the pontoon boat and the older boys/men went out fishing. We buried a treasure map and treasure on the island in the middle of Stanley Lake, and made it fun for the younger crowd. The decor of this home is very nice and understated. It would not be out of place in a major city. It had wi-fi, Direct TV, a firepit (with wood!), and a large hot tub on the lower porch. The upper deck gave wonderful views of the lake, which is 67 steps down to the dock (we know, our legs still hurt!). Because you are in the U.P., the lake was hardly crowded, just some fishing boats and the occasional jet ski. The area is typical small town, so don't go expecting that there will be a vibrant nightlife. This is THE place to chill out with all the comforts of home on hand. We were very happy with the rental, and the owners...oh, and yes, there seems to be a friendly spirit at times (just read the in house guest book). 5 stars, and they deserve every one."

  • What a Great Place.

"We stayed from 13-20 July, 2014. Before writing anything let me say the cabin was spotless. Even though it says pet friendly, there was not a hair or smell anywhere. We met 2 of the gals that clean between guests and they mentioned the 2 collies and family that rented just before us and how much hair was left behind. The cleaning gals did a wonderful job. This is a great place to stay. The location is quiet and peaceful. The views are wonderful. It is fairly quick drive to anything you need to buy or if you want to eat . We hope to rent again in the near future. We did not have one issue during the visit."
