"Our trip to Big Bay was wonderful. This was the 1st time we vacationed with our two little dogs and enjoyed watching them frolic on the beach. We rented a kayak from the area outfitter and had a blast on the bay every day. The cabin was really well stocked, from bottled water, to an assortment of spices to extras in the bathroom to really comfortable beds. We only vacation thru VRBO and this cabin was a find. There's no air conditioning, but Carol provides fans and ceiling fans that cool the cabin pretty well. The deck was nice, but sits under a pine tree that drips sap constantly (kind of irritating but not enough to put a damper on anything). We had a fire on the beach every day and spent most of the time outside in the great UP. Learned some history about Big Bay and were lucky to be at the cabin on the 1st night for the annual Big Bay fireworks show. Let me tell you...wow! The fireworks are launched right down the beach and the you are front and center for a great show! Sand, sand, sand everywhere, but what's a beach vacation without it. We had a scary schedule mix up, but Carol was able to move things around and things worked out fine. The only thing that I think needs addressed is a sliding screen door on the slider going out to the deck. The flies were huge, huge pests and a screen door would have helped greatly. Thank you Carol for opening your cottage to weary travelers like us and keeping the cottage stocked and organized. Your hospitality is what VRBO renters like us look for and end up returning for. Thanks again, Brian, Mara and Madi (and Ralphie and Milo too)."

"We stayed here with several families and took the whole top floor (3 units). It was so nice to all be together without having to go outside. The units are all nicely remodeled and brand new unlike so many places in the area we have stayed at. And the free wifi was great. The hot tub was wonderful at the end of the day. Being right on Blackjack Mountain was so nice so we could go in for lunch and relax for awhile. And now the Indianhead and Blackjack use the same ticket, everyone can go wherever they want so all are happy. Meeting at the bottom chalet for happy hour was great. They had live music and it is a great place to rendezvous at the end of the day for a beverage or two. Will definitely be back!"

"The cottage is only steps away from the Lake Superior shoreline and visible from the the covered porch. It is situated on a dead end street which provides a secluded, peaceful place to enjoy, but with the the companionship of folks from the other cottages at this location. We enjoyed meeting the other people staying there. The cottage was clean, the bed was very comfortable even with my bad back and there were plenty of freshly laundered towels for our use. It is located between Houghton-Hancock and Copper Harbor so it is not a bad drive to view the sights of both locations and all there is to see in between. Phillip was attentive to make sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Phillip!"

"Lindsley Cove is one of the best VRBO homes we've stayed at. It is exactly as advertised. The cabin is very well stocked with many items that are normally the renters responsibility. The boat launch is in very good condition and eliminates the long ride back and forth to the public launch upon arrival and departure. The Cisco Chain continues to be a great destination for fishing. We caught every type of fish with the exception of Musky; however we saw several large Musky chasing other fish which we had hooked."
