"My family of three adults and two children had a great time at the cottage. It really was exactly what we were hoping for. Home has a well appointed kitchen. Only thing it could've used were sharper knives. I loved the silverware so much that I've been trying to find some online to buy for my new house. Really liked it a lot.
There was plenty of sitting areas and relaxing spots throughout the house that everyone really had their own space. We spent most of our time out side enjoying the lake views, watching the eagles and of course enjoying the hot tub. Plenty of towels for the bathroom, kitchen and hot tub use.
My children made themselves at home on the neighbors dock which he allowed us to use. No fish were biting off of ours. That couple and their friendliness was one of the highlights of the trip. All the patio furniture was very comfortable. Couldn't spent the whole time on the patio if the bugs weren't trying to bite everything they passed.
The only cons was the houses proximity to the road. Pretty much heard trucks all day long. Was surprised by that.
There is a sign by the road that says Brennan's, but it needs to be a bit closer and repainted because it's very difficult to see.
And for the most part the house was very clean, but the bathroom had lots of cobwebs. I tried to ignore them but by the second day I found myself sweeping the ones near the toilet and trying to ignore the others. The bathroom could use some updating and a just a real good deep cleaning.
Other than those small pros I'd return in a heart beat. It really was what our busy tech driven family needed."

"This place was amazing! It was very secluded (you need to go on dirt roads to find it), but it was well worth it. While we stayed, the weather was cold and rainy, but that didn't stop us from really enjoying the place. We had our family there for our rehearsal dinner the night before. We set up cornhole (or bags) and had a mini tournament with that. We had a bonfire and cooked s'mores that night before the rain came. The day of our wedding, all the girls got ready at the house. It was so spacious and easy to accommodate all the women in the wedding. It was really great to have everyone in one place. The house was so cozy and the people who own the home were so easy to talk to. We had never really been up in the area before, and she helped us by giving advice on what to do, what other hotels were in the area (for our other guests), etc. It was just a lovely experience. We are definitely going to try to make this a yearly trip and we hope to be able to stay at this house year after year."

"The cabin and property were very nice! Although it's more suitable for a family with young children, the place worked out fine for the six adults on our trip. Very clean both inside and outside. A beautiful lake with lots of fishing and wildlife watching. I'd suggest McCormick's Marina for a fishing boat or pontoon boat rental. They have very reasonable prices which made our trip even better."

"The location was perfect. A gorgeous cabin secluded in the woods. Short drives to Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Mackinac bridge wasn't too far and the drive to the bridge is beautiful. We had a great time!"
